Bo has been extremely active just recently. I tried to hold her the other day and she would not stop moving. Today my beautiful beardie emptied her water into her cali dust substrate and dug herself a hole.

Your beardies are VERY lovely
Sand is really a very bad subtrate though... It can cause serious impaction..Tile, reptile carpet are better... I myself use cut down pieces of short pile carpet, then change them out regularly. Carpet stores throw it away.

Her substrate is calcium sand which the pet store advised me was fully digestable

I understand..... they told me that a couple years ago too and I lost a beautiful Dragon due to impaction because of it. No offence but most of the time I find the pet store staff are sorely ill informed :dontknow: This site has a wealth of information on the subject though! :study:
