MVB?

I know a lot about UVB tubes, but nothing about MVBs.
Is there any special information regarding these lights that I should know? I'm also confused on the type of calcium to use...with D3 or without D3?

With D3 = when using a UVB tube bulb
Without D3 = when using a high quality MVB bulb

And special info? well make sure the minimum distance between them and the dragon is fine, triple check your temperatures, get a ceramic holder or a dome that is rated for the wattage of the MVB you are going to get (I suggest taking one with 2x the rating so for a 100W MVB get one that is rated for at least 200W) and don't mount them at an angle.

Okay, thanks for the info. Looks like I'm going to have to get cal w/o D3, I have the Flukers stuff w/ D3. Does the regular Reptical have D3 in it? What is the minimum distance from a MVB bulb?

Minimum distance is different for each bulb but its usually between 12" to 18".

And I have no idea about the reptical, I use either rep-cal or exo terra supplements however usually for each supplement there are 2 versions, one with D3 and a second one with no D3.

as far as good MVB's go the megaray's and trex are the best ones on the market, powersun's maybe ok to use i have one and my beardies like it but some people have had problems in the past with them.

avoid the solar glo (exo terra) they used to be good but now they barely even put out UVB
