How should I prepare these pieces of wood for the enclosure?

These were bought from Petsmart. I’ll start by washing it thoroughly with hot water, and sand down the especially sharp parts. Is there any other precaution I should take to prevent injury? I know that they have these in the wild, usually without issues, but better safe than sorry. I’ll be connecting them with reptile safe glue as well 👍 thanks,

Hello,

Those are nice looking grapevine pieces. What type of glue will you be using to connect them?
Sanding them is a good idea if there are any sharp edges. You can use some warm to hot soapy
water to clean them, if needed.
What sized tank are you putting these in?

They’re going in a 120 gallon (they are smaller than the picture shows)

Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
