So I've been hearing about this edible nutrient-packed miracle tree, only to find out I've been eating it in my Mom's soup for decades. (Filipino staple) They're ridiculously fast growing tropical trees and the seeds are cheap now that people here in the U.S are buying them as one of those new superfood health crazes. Since they can be grown so quickly and easily indoors (and the leaves do taste amazing) I was wondering if the leaves themselves would be safe to share with my Beardie.

I wasn't able to find much information relating to reptiles; a handfull of forum posts ranging from "not enough info to risk it with my beardies" to "this is the secret to amazing iguanas" and "meh, the tortoises outside are always trying to eat my trees"

I found a link to some nutritional info, and was wondering if someone more experienced could take a look? Since the trees grow like wildfire and need frequent pruning (yum) I hope it would be safe enough to throw in with my Beardies winter salad as the grocery store selection isn't too great that time of year.

Never heard of it, but out of curiosity looked it up

I think I am too far south to have one be bountiful year round , I get night time temperatures under 18degCelsius in winter. (33S on the coast)

I do recall seeing lots of these trees (or something very similar) in parks and yards in Hedland (WA) and in Darwin, Mt Isa, Mackay and Cairns , but I think mostly grown as shade trees.

That's already the daytime temperature here in the Northeast U.S and Autumn's hardly started. I've already driven my husband crazy bringing in as many houseplants as I can fit before it gets any colder. Can't wait until I germinate some of the Moringa seeds. I'm sure he won't object to just a few "rapidly growing trees" XD

Worst comes to worst, if they aren't safe for my Beardie, they might make some interesting bootleg edible-bonsai trees. Or I can try to let them grow rampant indoors and pretend I live somewhere much warmer during the winter months. ._.;

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
