Megaray MVB, on backorder!

Anyone know of a website that I can order a 100 watt MVB Megaray or T-Rex Active Heat MVB? Pet Moutain and the regular Megaray site are on backorder/ out of stock? :banghead: :angry5:
 
Hello!

I also ordered a mega ray 100 watt bulb from the website direct. I sent John an email asking when he expects the bulbs to ship. I got a prompt reply saying he expects them in later this week and will be shipping them out asap.

Sadly, I have been given the same answer (1-2 weeks) for the last month. On the recall thread, he states on June 15th or so, that their glass supplier might have been found and should expect bulbs in 1-2 MONTHS.

I dont want to think I am being given the run-a-round.....but the more I "read" the more i feel like I am.

Yeah, wondering how backed up they are though. I just ordered mine from Megaray last night after much debate. Figure I could wait a little bit, as Zeus does have a UVB Retpi Sun "long" style bulb right now. Just wanting to decrease amount of stuff on the top of his cage. I am a little bit of a neat freak.LOL
 
Oddly enough, just got the paypal/ups email myself.

What I dont like is.... "GROUND SHIPPING"

Really? I had to wait this long and you guys cant ship it any faster?
 
Another update!

I got my bulb. The best part- it survived a small tornado that went down my street due to the great packaging!!! A double box with some paper filling... The inside box didn't even get wet. Couldn't be more happy with this company- fast customer service and great packaging. I agree that ground shipping stinks- I wish I could have picked to overnight the bulb, but overall I am impressed!

Sent an email to Megaray on June 22 asking when they were shipping. Received an email from John on Wednesday the 23 stating he was hoping the order would ship that day. I sent an email again today 6-29, asking for an update, as I still have no bulb, and have not received an email saying they have shipped either. This is so frustrating! I have a baby beardie showing up here on Thursday, would really like to have had it in place.

I ordered my bulb on June 23 and waited until Friday to send an email asking when it would ship. By Monday night, John had not responded so I emailed him again. Tuesday night I called and left a message and he still didn't respond. Today I left another message and I've yet to hear from him.

They may have great bulbs, but from what I've experienced their customer service is horrible.

Got it today, anyone know if there is a standard 12 hour burn time outside of the tank with this. 100 watt MVB Mega Ray!

Got my Megaray 100 wat MVB bulb on Thursday July1 after being on back order. Did the standard burn outside of tank for 24 hours. Installed friday night. Tonight as we are sitting there watching Zeus in his cage the thing BURNT OUT< YES THAT IS WHAT I SAID< QUIT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :angry5: :angry5: :angry5: :angry5:

Has anyone ever had this happen. This is a pretty expensive bulb to only work four days. I emailed the company, so we shall see what they say! DAMIT! We are supposed to leave on vacation in five days, I donot have time for this!

What are the chances in getting a new bulb for free, or my money back, anyone know?

Maybe it's just shut down on his own? do you have it mounted at an angle? do you have a proper ceramic holder and ventilation near it?

If it's really a bad bulb you'll get a new one free.

No Tilit, using correct light fixture. Below is a picture of the exact way it was.( only difference is now it just has a regular light bulb :banghead: )

Hopefully, I will hear something from them in the morning.

John called today, they are going to send a refund form to me, and get another bulb on the way. :blob8: Love it when people have great customer service!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
