Meet my baby Jude

So excited to get my first bearded dragon! Did lots of research but still worry I'm getting it all wrong. He/ she shed today which was a bit worrying but as soon as the skin was gone she was running round again like a maniac. This is her post shed. Does she look okay?

My boy only eats 6-8 crickets...not sure what's up with that but Im not forcing it.

Hope you all had a nice Valentine weekend. Are you feeding her large crickets? That might be why, fill her up. My new little guy Castiel (Nathaniel's brother, I brought him home from the rescue on Dec 7), brought him home yesterday, ate 100 medium crickets this am. He's a year old and really tiny, 15" long and 185g. Nathaniel was tiny, too, he, Castiel and another brother were together in a small tank for a year. Nathaniel has gained, he's just over 300g and 17", he was 15 1/2" long and 218g when I got him and he was the biggest brother. So I'm back to 5 beardies

Kami - what I have got from here is that our lovely beardies are all different and will do their own thing. Jude goes through days when she only eats a little and some days she eats me out of house and home. I bet Broly is putting weight on fast. Have you weighed him again?

Not since Saturday. I have a weekly weigh in on Saturday.
He is shedding his front legs at the same time and skin is coming off. With my first beardie, Vash, he used to shed one body part at a time. Alucard was the same. Broly shedding two legs right now. His nose is coming into shed too. He's grumpy!

Jude shed her whole tail and legs today. It looked like a lizard explosion!

74 grams at this weeks weigh in and eating me out of house and home

LOL, wow 74, mine gained 1 gram so now from 16 he's 17g
this week. Eh, good thing I got worms he must not like the crickets very much. I'll see how that works for next Saturday. Mine is eating me out of house and home too, at least Im breeding my bugs.

Glad she's well and eating tons.

Jude is continuing to do well but she is getting a little spirited and started opening her mouth at me. She has finally finished shedding and is showing nice colours

She weighs 100 grams now

She's a beautiful dragon, love the belly & wonderful colours. So she's opening her mouth at you? Puff used to do that, puff out her beard and open her mouth but I'd just pick her up & stroke her beard and she eventually stopped. It's funny when they puff & gape at you, 'cause they're so small. But it's nice that she's showing some spirit, too, as long as she's not biting. Cierra, my newest little rescue, she's a year old, does the same thing.

No she has never tried to bite so just testing her limits. I think she is about 4 and a half months now and weighs 106 grams today. She is starting yet another shed so plenty more growing to be done

She's just starting her real growth spurts. They're not fully grown until they're 2 years old. I'm glad she's doing so well, it's fun to watch them test their limits

4 and a half months huh? My dragon isn't as big as that and he's her age. Almost 5 months. Wondering if I have a small grower or runt.

So she's gaping at you? Mine is too but no biting like yours.
Eventually she'll stop that.

106g is awesome, hope she continues.
