what adhesive are you all using to get the styrofoam to glue together, i have liquid nails interior projects and it is not holding the pieces together after 12-14 hours the pieces just pull apart and the glue seems to still be wet. The tube i got is brown and red in color, am i using the wrong stuff or doing something wrong? any advice would be great, and for sealer can i use modge podge or is there anything better for around the same price? thanks guys

I tried two different kinds of liquid nails when doing my structures. Total of 8, 7 turned out. I used the liquid nails for styrofoam. White and blue tube i think. It came out white. It worked, but took awhile to dry. I then used the regular liquid nails for construction. It says on the tube you can use it on most anything including styrofoam. It dried much faster but wasn't instantaneous. You have to have a bit of patience. It was a bit messier to work with but worth the mess because it bonded much better. I ended up using latex gloves while gluing and grouting so I didn't get it all over me. Glad I did.

I have used wood glue, and also "tacky glue" (arts and crafts stuff) Iliberally apply a coat of glue (small paintbrush works well) and pin together with a couple toothpicks to hold while glue dries. hope this helps.

just whatever you do i heard no super glue... but hope you have better luck than I did.. I grouted the stryafoam and tried to seal it and it just kept coming off :( so I quit for now, it made it a bit easier that petsmart had awesome basking spot/ledges on clearance for 3$ and 5$! :) Good luck!

I use liquid nails and I like the fact that you have a little time to move your pieces of styro a tad after you glue them, but I might try the low temp hot glue as on certain parts (vertical walls) I don't need that time and would like something that holds fast quicker. The glue isn't what holds the structure together in the long run anyway. It's the grout.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
