Lilly and Lyla

I finally got my new baby today! She has done great so far. Other than a dark belly she has shown no signs of relocation stress. At 6 months and 104 gm, she ate a meal that would have rivaled my boyfriends 10 month old, 314 gm dragon. She had hornworms, butterworms, and crickets. We actually had to cut her off on cricket because I stupidly bought some that were way to big (we picked out the littlest ones). I have already taken several pictures so I just have to share. I will be updating this post periodically with more pictures and stories. (I have to add my funny cricket story here. Yesterday I went to feeder's supply to get crickets because I won't be able to get bulk until monday. A girl in her 20s or so was helping me. She had jeans on with torn knees. As she was almost done with my crickets she says "Oh my gosh". "What?" I asked. "A cricket just crawled into my pants." She hurried off to go take care of it and another worker came to finish my cricket order. I found it hilarious).

Sara, what a great video, do you play this game all the time? I wish our dragons would run around for their food, they expect to be hand fed & I mean the worms are put right in front of them. They're so spoiled. Lilly looks great! She's got such great colours. So no eggs, yet? I think you're right, the longest Sweetie's ever gone b4 laying is 3-4 weeks. Just be glad that Lilly isn't laying eggs, it sure depletes their fat stores. Give her a bit hug for me, please & an extra one for you, too!

Deb, we just started that game yesterday but she really seems to enjoy it. Maybe she feels like a real dragon out there hunting lol. I think it has to have just been egg follicles that we were seeing. In fact, the way it was explained to me, they are egg follicles until very close to laying and egg follicles can be held indefinitely. I tried giving her an extra hug but got the grumpy, "I'm trying to fall asleep here!" look!

I can't believe how fast Lilly can run! I mean, she was dead on in finding the supers and coming back to the container. Quite impressive, to say the least.
I'll have to try that with Pookie, maybe, if his majesty isn't PO'd at me when I get home :roll:

Sara, that was a great video. She sure enjoys that new game, good exercise for her too. She looks wonderful! Sounds like you enjoy it too, could hear you talking in the background and encouraging her.

Our beardies USED to run around like that but now they are like Deb's beardies expecting the food to be put right in front of them. Can we say spoiled?

Thanks! I saw someone else doing this on a video and was curious if Lilly would do it too. She inhales the worms if I let her, I figured this way they would last a bit longer, and yes, she could use the exercise with as much as she's eating lol. It is very fun for me to watch. Much more interesting than just sticking them in a bowl. Lol Gina, didn't we have a conversation yesterday about how you will never see these people again in your life?
