wow, thanks for ALL the replies  !

O-Gonchothedragon, i found him while browsing through a local pet store. his tankmates had appearently ganged up on him during an unsupervised feeding... i got him for free  .

barbara, thanks again. i just left a post on your new beardie page, what a cutie! can't wait to see his new colors :D .

amalsg07, i don't have a page either... sorry, i just meant your thread(my internet lingo is awful). if you could post a link to your main thread i could add it to my watched threads. about the wiggling, i know! it's so unique how he moves. it's like trying to paddle across land in a canoe  .

kirby, i am a master of trickery 8) . i try to follow the "between the eyes" rule, though i just got some mealies that are a hair longer. these were his first meal worms EVER. i know their not that nutritious but he needs something besides crickets and greens. he ate 4 worms! big surprise since he hasnt been eating much last couple days.

vickson420, thank you :D . he truely is a testament to how much beardies can go through. i can't imagine if that had happened to me  .

jiffy, YOU DOUBT MY SUPREME JUDGMENT?! go to this page and ban yourself :p !!!

beardie osk, thank you for replying. i do not keep a water dish in his bowl. i offer him water with a dropper throughout the day. i gauge his reaction to see if hes thirsty or not(im getting it down pretty well). i bath him several times a week but he doesnt drink while soaking. so even if he wants me to give him water(licking lips, front limbs almost jumping off the ground  ) right before bed i shouldnt? if this is the case i guess ill just get him used to having his bedtime drink 2 hours before hand.

thanks again everyone for taking an intrest in him! i will post more videos tommorow. i didn't really get any good opportunities but i did get a couple pictures:

look.jpg

is this a beardie death glare?

look1.jpg

i KNOW this one isn't!

he's too innocent to death glare.. he's a little pumpkin..

master of trickery.. ROFL.... next you'll tell me that he actually does have legs and you've fooled us all along.. it was merely trick photography..

The way you described him moving "like trying to paddle across land in a canoe" is such a great way to say it! That is really what it looks like and it is so unique. He's so cute!!!

This is the thread where Kaira's pics are posted and introduces her...

I'm glad your using a dropper and not a water dish, great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Water may not be a problem close to bedtime.... but it is a good practice to withold nourishment, so if your good with it, I'd try to refrain 2 hours before.

Your baby is thriving well, getting to be a little butterball, (so cute), and he's very happy, what a great story to read, thanks for keeping us informed, it's so delightful!

jscott I think you should write a book. I have loved reading about this baby from day one and always look forward to pictures. The little one is a very lucky little beardie and you are a VERY SPECIAL PERSON.

you've caught me... the jig is up. from now on ill post unaltered pictures only, starting with this one:

LOL.jpg

abi, i took some more pictures videos... i'll try to upload them tonight but for sure tomorrow. got some good ones of him moving.

beardie osk, yes he is a little butter ball. some times i worry if he's too fat but he doesnt eat nearly as much as most beardies. i just got him to eat meal worms as treats, before it was crickets and salad... that was it. im going to try to add a little variety one item at a time. this way i can gauge his reaction to the different foods. thanks for your thoughts  .

missT, yes he's a little speed demon! he tears around cirtain substrates like nobodies bussiness. im in the process of getting a camera that can capture a little more detail. there are so many neat colors and textures i'd love to capture but their so subtle and my camera phone cant pick them up. soon!

marguerite, a book  ?! thats something to think about :D . i think a kids book would be fitting. something about overcoming adversity or even just a photo book and bio. good idea  . thanks for taking interest in my little one!

Good morning,

My comment of being a "butterball" was only an endearing comment, :love5: he is just fine........ just perfect!

I would hold off on the mealworms, I agree on diversion though, but they really can cause serious impactions, butterworm, phoenix worms, even a very OCCASSIONAL waxworm are better than mealworms when they are young. (waxworm are too high in fat for using as daily staples)

I still have the visual in my head of the day you found him and he was in the corner half dead  :x ....................................... NOW LOOK AT HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blob5: :notworthy: :blob8: :notworthy: :blob5: :notworthy:

Jason, I know, I should be beat with a wet noodle for having a thought like that!
But man, that was one huge looking cricket when it was up close to the camera!

I love the pic you made of him with the legs added! Too funny.

Did you pick a name for him yet? I know it is kinda corny, but the way he moves, you could name him Wiggles or something like that. Or you could name him "Too Cute for Words!" :blob5:

Jason you have an awesome sense of humor my friend. I guess you showed Kirby! :laughhard:
Kirby you asked for it. :laughing6: He really does have legs.
Seriously I just love this little guy. I usually go straight to this thread to get my daily fix for my belief of
miracles. He is getting so fat, I just love him he makes my day. :love5:

hello again everyone! i have some new pictures and videos to post, but first...

by kirby on Sat Jul 26, 2008 12:54 am

oh i've been fooled... how silly of me to think something could be so cute....
do you mean to tell me you dont like his bright blue pant leg  ?! he dresses himself so technically, your insulting HIM  !

beardie osk, he IS my little butterball! about mealworms, can even the smallest size cause impaction? they feel squishy to the touch and i cant seem to find any with a outter shell. do the young ones have a shell yet?
every now and then i look back too and it makes me shutter. it also makes me feel happy though. i'm giving him the life that so many beardies never got. lots of animals never find owners...
makes me wish i could win the lottery, i'd buy a mansion and dedicate it to reptile rescue  .
p.s. i'd hire everyone from this site

luvthydragon, i like your name. he is FULL of life! he enjoys every aspect of his day from laying in the shade to climbing around his driftwood pieces. he is a cutie. wait till you see the new pics!

Those videos are adorable, I want to cuddle him even more now. You've done fabulously with him. He looks SO happy. I'll bet you cuddle him lots now, remember how apprehensive you were at first. I love his belly, how sweet that is. :p

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
