Jscott- This morning started back-reading your post from day one till now. I was late to work because I just had to to see how things progressed :study: . First thing after my Nelson had his bath I continued through to your latest videos and the little guy is addorable. I, too, just had to take a moment to say I think you and your little angel are an inspiration. Keep up the great work. You've spoiled me now with the videos-keep them coming! :D

Wow, you and your beardie are amazing! I don't think I could have done what you did to save the life of this little guy. Keep up the great work!

kirby, yea they were slow. i've seen male beardies bob so violently they come up off the ground  . i'm still not sure on the gender and i've always known my little beardy wasn't aggresive. i don't think he's ever black bearded me... does showing a little black UNDER his white scales count? he does this occasionally.

"i guess im not the only one who imagined a different sounding person to the username and posts." what were you expecting?

thanks again for posting  .

beardie osk, yes he is a little rocket! his front right limb spins wildly when hes on the go  . sometimes it catchs something, sometimes it doesnt.
i appreciate the kind words, though my dragon is the one with the miraculous story. i havn't seen the film but ill look into it, i love movies  .

a pic of me  ?! i dunno... i never take pics of myself, and even if i did: im not the type of person who would post them online. good looks or not, the confidence just isn't there. attitudes may change but for now, you'll just have to use your imaginations(just think superman with more muscles 8) )...

head bobbing comment-
i really hope he starts to bob his head more. it was the most adorable thing i've ever seen. it was so innocent and soft.

lizardgrrl, i really will try to get some more videos up. it takes some time but if people are actually watching them then i will keep making them. i actually borrowed my friends digi camera which i used to take a high resolution picture(end of this post). it is capable of creating longer videos than i could previously shoot. i will try to get a couple videos up that are at least a minute or two long. thanks for your support!

denise,
you just want to reach in, pick him up and give him a big kiss, right on his little head!
lol, im glad you posted that. until now i thought i was the only one who wanted to give him a smooch :laughing6: .
he really is living the good life. it's my only project right now beside finding a full-time job. whenever i get a good chunk of money i almost immediately buy him something. i just cant help myself :dontknow: .
he does shoot some pretty adorable faces my way from time to time. i've been lucky enough to catch a good deal of them on camera.
about exploring, i am very careful to pick the right spot to set him down. i usually kneel down and blow crazily at the ground to clear the area of dust and pebbles. if he starts straying toward the edge of the safe spot i scoop him back up and we go somewhere else. he doesnt seem too bashfull, i just set him down and he goes off trying to climb over, under or through anything in his way. thanks again for your concern. i feel safe knowing there are people here watching my posts to make sure i dont endanger him, thank you  .

vickson420, my pleasure  . i owe his awesome recovery to this website. without all of your help, he would be gone. i plan on taking in more damaged dragons when my wallet allows. i appreciate your concern for my beardies well being. there are so many friendly people here!

dociledragons: no, thank you! i am glad to see people out there are enjoying him as much as i am. no videos today, but theres a killer pic at the end of this post. you'll see his true colors/pattern. thanks again for checking him out  .

luvthydragon, i sent you a PM but i dont know if it went through. i wanted to thank for reading his story. it's back on the first page and i dont think it gets looked at much. i am so glad that the videos brought you some enjoyment :D , i will try to post a couple new ones every week. thanks again for your kind words!

(don't forget to check out the pic at the end of this post)

halo131, i was hesitant to take on the challenge, it seemed like such a heartwrenching scenario. i couldn't let him die though, it would have been such a waste of a good life. i hope this inspires more people to take on hurt or damaged beardies. there are so many dragons out there that need loving owners but probably won't be found in time... that goes for all "pets". i honestly wish i could buy a small island and convert it to a neglected-animal refuge. anyone got a spare island  ?

*p.s. these pics arent like my other ones: they can be greatly enlarged without pixilating. if you move them to paint you can see alot more detail, i thought they would post much larger than this :| .*

whew, that was a long post but i made it. must...find...water...

christy, thank you very much. all i'm trying to show is that an animal doesnt need to be "perfect" to be perfect. i would rather have a disfigured animal full of character/personality than a picture perfect specimen any day. thanks again :D .

Good Morning Jason,

Thank-you for always answering everyones post, the new pics are so sweet, you can see his content. :love5:

Sorry for the picture request of you, I hope it didn't appear forward, but I feel it comes from all of us wanting to see baby with Dad, not for criticism, I guess we all feel like family here. (I'd have to admit it though, I'd feel the same way if I was asked)

The movie is great, it's the true story of Helen Keller, a deaf mute who was schooled and and taught by Ann Sullivan, doing the impossible to bring a full life to a person who had no quality and was doomed to silence and isolation. Quite moving....... sound like a familiar story??????

Back to the topic, love the continual updates, thank-you.................................

Hello there Jscott- No I didn't get your PM - please resend. These pics are great and he (she?) has some really beautiful colors. You can tell in the pics that this dragon loves you and appreciates everything you are doing. I love following his progress and I will continue to watch this post. I'd much rather hear some good news about him than what you get on the 10:00 news on TV. Good luck with the job-hunt. Hope you and the little guy weren't affected by the earthquakes I heard about yesterday. Take care and keep those pics and videos coming any chance you get.

Katherine and I loved the videos. :blob8: LG is just amazing, s/he just proves what K. always says about people-"I'm not friends with their outsides, I'm friends with the inside!" That's 7 yr old for -The heart and soul are so much more important than the physical exterior. We love LG's heart and spisit. So glad to share the same planet as you both.

wow .... i came to this website after seeing the story about Zak n Wheezie on aol news, then saw your posts on that thread .... now i've read both threads in 2 days, and i'm just enthralled! .... i have 2 beardies, a 5-yr-old boy "Batesie" and a 4-yr-old girl "Lucy" (housed separately) ... these docile little creatures are just so special .... as my user name implies: i DO kiss my beardies!!! .... i just can't stand not to! ....
your baby has such a sweet little face .... his coloring is gorgeous also, especially in the latest pics .... thank you so much for sharing him with us

Jason, those pics are just precious. He looks so extremely happy & content, can't help but say "AWWWW." His coloring is amazing with the yellow, white and orange. I agree, I'd like to kiss him right on the top of the head like I do with our beardies, especially before bed. Please keep the pics and videos coming, we can't get enough. :p

Jason please forgive me but I just have to go off topic for a brief moment. :blob8:
iluvlizardlips and Diane your posts made me think of something funny that I just need to share.
I frequently visits our areas oldest pet store, I remember visiting this store in a different location as a child.
(It is a family owned store that will be celebrating it's 51st Anniversary this September)
But anyway back to what I wanted to say.

Everytime I go into this store one of the workers always ends up clearing their throat at me and
pointing at this sign that they have posted. --------->"Don't Kiss Your Reptiles" then it goes on to
talk about why..blaa...bla...blaa. I always just shake my head and laugh.
I know they think I'm crazy.

Just this evening I was eating a purple plum and thought that everyone might enjoy a taste. I let my new little guy take a bite off of it and then I proceeded to eat it.
My family thinks I'm crazy too.

Okay Jason back to what this thread is about.
That puggy little guy/gal is so totally kissible.
An..I... know... you do.

So I hope you don't mind that I ask how long is your baby now?
Also I was wondering how the bath has be going?
I haven't forgot about the water wings discussion. :)
I was thinking Z&W blow up like they are going to pop, they float alot of the time..... when... they take a break from scarring me by going under water. They are more comfortable in the water it seems like.
I was just wondering what your experience has been so far.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
