I spent about a week reading through these postings from beginning to now, and just wanted to pass on my thoughts...
First my condolences over your recent losses and hard times! It seems when it rains, it pours...
However, it appears you've done a truly remarkable job with your awesome little beardie LG :) I hope she is only going through brumation and will snooze off and on for the next few weeks, and then wake up and be ready to eat.
My girl Sydney is sleepy right now as well, but I haven't had the traumatic experience of egg laying yet.
You and little LG are certainly inspirational and I hope all the good things you have done over the past couple years will come back 10 fold for you in the near future.
I've loved seeing all the adorable pictures and even cuter video's you've posted. Hopefully you'll be up to posting some more soon. My best to you and LG!
Carrie

Thank you everyone, for the support and for your patience. Things have been very bleak lately, but I am hanging around still so that's always a good sign right?

Here are those pictures I promised I'd take a week ago... I never actually took them, until just now that is:

These were taken just a couple minutes ago, while I fed LG; Please excuse the poor quality of the pictures(took me a minute to get the settings adjusted):

I like this next picture; She looks like some kind of scary dinosaur:

Hopefully that tides everyone over for a while. I will try to post at least once a week...

Hi Jason! Welcome back! Sorry to hear that things are still bleak; hope it'll get better soon. {{hugs}}

LG looks great! I love how bright and big her eyes are, especially while attacking that cricket.

awww it's great to see new pictures :) I hope things will start looking up some soon. Glad LG is up and looking pretty good in my opinion. I enjoyed all the pictures -the one that is out of focus looks like she's in a time warp :) Perhaps flashing back to the time of the dinosaurs

Jason, so very sorry to hear about your grandmother, that is so hard to handle but we are all here for you and so is LG.

She looks great, her eyes are amazingly bright and it shows that she is still excited about eating, so that is a big plus.

Thanks for posting the pictures of your (our) very special girl.

Just gave LG 7 or 8 cc's of water. I don't think she's ever drank that much in one sitting but I'm trying to get her hydrated before brumation sets in. She downed 3 or so syringes of water, with breathing breaks in between every few gulps.

Didn't feed her today because I am out of crix again. will have to make my way over to the store again.

Been a while, sorry about that.

LG has been slowing down with the coming cold. I've been trying to feed her as much as I can afford to(about 3-4 times a week), she won't accept veggies right now, I tired carrot, cactus pear and greens... All she eats are crickets powdered with repcal no phosphorus calcium. She gets the multivite once a week. Water almost every day, more like 4-5 times a week.

Someone mentioned tilting to one side while drinking, well she does that. Doesn't always want water but shen she does she seems to really want it.

Not much else to say. Things are bad at home, trying to keep positive but it's zapping my strength. Having realistic nightmares constantly so I wake up feeling unrested.

I'll try to get some pics up of LG today. Let's see where the day takes me...

Today I got the first real sign that the old LG is still in there somewhere;

I bought some crickets today and after cleaning out the small glass terrarium for them and stocking it with good stuff:

Repcal Multivite; When I was tight on cash, this is ALL I fed the crickets and they thrived on it: Not one died over the course of 2 weeks.

Fresh Cactus pear, sliced; The crickets dig into this and take big bites, sometimes until their antennae get stuck to the fruit. I figure if I can't get LG to eat good fruits I will stuff the crickets with it.

Water crystals; Placed in an upside-down lid, it's a perfect barrier against contamination. Seriously, I keep these crickets like kings. You should see how they perk up during their stay at my house.

After I let all the crickets loose in there, I placed the cage about 4-5 feet away on the table across from LG's enclosure(where I've been keeping it for the last year or so)... Well as soon as I closed the container, her eyes moved toward it. I've been worried about potential brain damage for so long, it was good to see her move a little and focus on the critters.

As previously stated, I like to fatten my crickets up a bit before feeding him on the first day I get them. After about 30 minutes, I walk by LG's cage to see he glass dancing at the crickets! She hasn't been able to lift her head for many weeks now it seems. Just kind of dragging herself around with minimal strength, or effort(I don't know which)... Seeing her up agains the glass, I decided it was time to eat.

I fed LG about 12 medium sized crickets(the only size in stock at the time), and that's about all she seemed to want at the moment(mind you, she still won't take the food from my hand. I have to tickle her chin with it then she'll eventually drag it in quite slowly with her tounge). After that she crawled out into the warm spot to bask and digest(nice to see). She hasn't done that for a few days, even though her two lights are ALWAYS on during daylight hours(despite objections from others at home, who consider it a waste of energy). Lately she had been hanging out in one spot in her little dark house. I meant to feed her again after work but by the time I got home after a late shift, LG was back in her spot fast asleep.

Sorry to say, with all the technology in my house, I didn't have a charged camera at the time of feeding. I have been in such a funk lately that I have let alot of things slide. I need to start moving again before I start gather moss.

Here are some pics from a couple days before(You can see what I mean by the blank stare and the lack of interest for the camera; I used to be greeted by tounge flicks..). Meant to post them but I've been super saddened:

I held the camera here for a good 10 seconds and she didn't even look up at me, just kept on staring:

Does she look emaciated?

Here is here leg, I figure there are some who might be fascinated with a close up:

Hanging out in her spot:

Alright well that's all for now. I promise tomorrow I will get a feeding video, so you can see for yourself how she acts when I give her water and feed her by hand... Dang, I have probably popped a thousand or more crickets into that mouth over the course of her life.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
