Leashes for young beardies

I wanted to start taking my beardie around but i dont want to without a leash. hes about 2 1/2 months old and i read they should not be leashed until they are at least 6 months. is this true?

Nah you can take on leash,take her out for a mintue with it on then 2 mins and so on,if she runs and pulls on the lead don't worry just pick her up.Mine was on a lead when he was that age,if the lead is too big for her then wait till she grows.

I started to use a harness/leash on my beardies when they were about 4 months old. I love taking them with me where I go

i could never leash my baby beardy, i chose to make a playpen instead i still had to stay within inches of him, mostly to control what hes trying to munch on and keep birds from getting any ideas. Its tuff bein tasty 8) I did learn early to always include a hide in his outdoor pens. The hardest and scariest is when something freaks him out, he can move incredibly fast when hes scared and he will dart for cover. i cut a large pvc pipe in half n bout 16" long, its open at both ends and everytime he uses it he seems to trust it more.

Yeah, I saw his leashes. I was going to get one when gunther got a little older(probably when hes six months). Thanks for the heads up though,

I found a thread on here to just uses a piece of string and some knots. Wasn't to hard one ya got it and that way you can use it as she/ he grows then when he/shes a good size you can buy one. Ribbon works best it doesn't snag if its silk.
