Laying in own poop

Sometimes when they're younger they'll kind of ignore their poop and sit in it but they tend to avoid it when they get older. I agree that it's best to remove it as soon as you see it and if they're laying in it, they should get a bath and maybe a quick spray down with some Vetericyn to prevent spread of bacteria.

yeah it must be because they are just a year old then, because, he would be basking, poop while basking then continue to just lay in it..... i do clean the poop out when i see it, and i do give him a bath after he does this.

If ours poops while we are at work, occasionally his tail gets some poop on it from being dragged through the it. But he never goes in it on purpose.
