Kiera -- pics update-again-9/27

I am going to work hard at doing better with posting updates here about Kiera than I did with Puff's thread. I just had thought I would have a good long time to update Puff's thread, and I have since learned otherwise, so I will try to be better about posting here, cuz' I want to share Kiera's life with everybeardie and everybody. It seems like my friends and coworkers don't get quite as excited about my beardie stories and pics as everyone here does :?
So...without further ado...here are some pics of Kiera just being darn cute this evening...

Today was my first day back to work since bringing her home, and I thought about her all day long. I had my daughter stop in to check on her to make sure her temps and her lights were ok. I left her 4 phoenix worms in her dish this morning to eat when she was ready, and she ate them all, and then this evening when I got home from work she ate another 10 crickets. I am so relieved that she is eating well. She also takes drops of water off of my finger!! Seems like she is settling in well!!

Hi Cindy, I'm so glad Kiera's better, there were alot of issues with alot of the MVB's this year. So glad you realized there was an issue with the Megaray. Sweetie was raised under a Reptisun, we never had any issues. We only decided to get Power Sun's because Issy and Rubio were so tiny when we got them & so sick, we thought the extra UVB would work better. I find it's difficult also because they give off so much heat.

Good luck on Thursday, I'll be thinking of you, and will be waiting to hear how you managed getting through the picket lines. GOOD LUCK!

Ok guys---Finally some new pics now that Kiera is feeling better and acting like her normal self. I am so relieved she is feeling better. I have decided I am done with Mercury Vapor Bulbs forever. Won't ever try them again. I have a new Reptisun in her viv and she is basking, and finally keeping her eyes open all the time again, and eating better again as well. This was a scary ordeal for me. I will be sending my MegaRay back to John for testing, but will not use it again. I am so disappointed that I never got to try them before all the issues and bummed that it seemed to affect Kiera the way it did. The only thing that doesn't make sense is why the problems didn't start right away.
Anyway--without further adieu...here are a few new pics of my sweet girl...

Cindy, what did you do with my tiny little Beardie niece?!? She looks amazing!! And HUGE!!!! Have you gotten a weight on her lately?? Her viv is so cute and the "The End" pic is adorable (she's got some junk in her trunk!) Have you seen the updates on my thread?? We have a new little girl named Delila! I'm so glad that her eyes are feeling better...I love my Repti-Suns!!!

Hi Katrina--We'll go check out your thread to see pics of the new baby!! It is amazing how much Kiera has grown--at least I can take comfort in knowing that overall she is strong and healthy, because she has been barely eating until the past few days, but hasn't lost weight. I weighed her this evening--247 grams!!!!! :shock: She is loving her Reptisun too--I will never try anything else ever again!!!

Hi Cindy, glad to hear the good news about Kiera, glad to hear you got rid of that Megaray and got Reptisun. What kind of fixture is that? It's wonderful, she gets the full UVB that way. she sure has grown :shock: and her colours are beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to post those pics, they all turned out so well. The End is too funny, what a cutie she is and love the sleeping bag. She's a lucky girl to have such a great mom

Hi Cindy (and my beardie niece!) Hope you had a great 4th! How did everything go at work? Any good news?? I hope that Kiera is still enjoying her Repti-Sun!!!

Just wanted to post some new pics of my fat moose, Kiera!!! She is eating well again, and has her eyes open all the time. I am so glad she is ok--it was very scary watching her not opening her eyes and not eating. She is very active again, and seems like her happy old self. She is up to 285 grams now and is 8 months old. She is also starting to shed on her head and her legs. I imagine the rest of her body will soon follow.

Oh my word!!! Kiera!!!! 285 grams, she looks like 585!!! It's insane to look back a few pages and see the difference! Way to go!

BTW what are you feeding her to get her so nice and fat? Mine weighs 340 gramms and looks really skinny in comparison
