But hopefully I can get her and help her. I have an AMAZING reptile vet. We'll see. I hope she's not REALLY REALLY old and he's just wanting to make a quick buck off a beardie on her way out.

Ugh! The "Owner" is at camp and doesn't get back til Saturday. Stupid parents. Just like the lady I had come in yesterday with a BABY bunny in a box that her kid found in the yard. Decided to keep as a pet. This thing was LITTLE. And the mom acted like, "Oh, we'll just give it formula til it can eat regular food and live happily ever after."

Some ppl really should not be allowed pets... and to trade one pet you cant care for so you can get another is very irresponsible!
I have taken family members pets away from them because I thought they were not getting the proper care, and then you get ppl who actually look at this everyday and go - "we will just sell it and get another" its not a car or chair! its a living being!

I feel when you take in a pet its your responsiblity to make sure they get the best possible care, the animal did not ask to be put in a tank and he cant say "i'm hungry feed me!" "i dont feel so good maybe I should go to the vet"

Sorry for that little rant - I am so cross!

I really wish I could help out I am just way to far!!

I have a ton of other stuff too... I wish you lived in MN, because I'm selling Dud's old 40 gallon set-up and I would give it to you for cheap if I could!

Definitely hold onto those for me, please, and I will see what condition her tank comes in. He said the tank is included. I almost am ok with the $50 since the tank comes too. But still. Who knows how old that uvb light is or if she even has one.

For sure. I've been thinking about names already, just in case. LOL I thought about keeping with my Mario Bros theme, but then if she didn't make it, I'd be sad. :-/ So I'm thinking maybe Leila (as in Ali, since Rocky was named after a fighter.) or Chyna. Both really tough chicks.

those are both really cool names, and Leila has a nice hebrew meaning if I recall correctly.
and meh still try to talk him down, she'll probably need supplements and actual good protein-filled food like crazy and those aren't cheap.. plus he'll likely never use the tank again..

lol my boyfriend agreed to walk around with me when we get better pictures and my friend agreed to busk(play instrument on the street and ask for money) for the cause. ^-^ none of the kids at school were willing to donate,
even though one dude(who I know is very obsessed with snakes) looked like he was about to cry..
that's what I get for going to the most ghetto school in my city, I guess xD

pythons are much harder to care for and feed that beardies, so that snake is DOOMED. Dx

a while back my friend adopted this ball python that's growth was so stunted from its previous owner's abuse
that he only ever ended up being a little over 2 feet.. and he had mouse bite scars all over him...
But despite his being half dead, she managed to nurse him back to health despite his non-cooperation(he wouldn't eat on his own for a couple months after she adopted him) and he ended up living another 3 years or so.. he was the funniest looking python ever, what with his weird tail(it looked like the tail of a gecko after it loses its tail and the new one is only starting to grow back) and small size, but he was so cute and spoiled.. he always refused to eat live mice though.. I WONDER WHY =___= god stupid previous owner.

Ashley, do you know when you are going to pick her up and stuff?? That's so disturbing that they are getting a BP now too. I can't believe some people. After you pay them and Mrs. Rocky (That's what I'm calling her until you decide on a name LOL) is 100% yours, you should explain to them why they should NEVER have pets again.

And my UVB lights aren't going anywhere, so PM me if you end up needing them. BTW the 10.0s are all 24", and the 5.0 is 18"

No, the kid is at camp and the mom told me since it's his beardie, that I'll need to talk to him. But he's clearly old enough to post on CL by himself, so he's prolly a teen at least. She said he'll be back Saturday so I'm gonna call then. I'm prolly gonna work all day Saturday so maybe Sunday?
