Yep, I managed to look through some yesterday and chose 2 that I had been considering last year - he had that cheeky Kazi glint in his eye and thats how I think he should be remembered

True, noone could've/would've ever guessed that he was remotely ill.

Its actually his month in this years calendar :? I havent even been able to turn the page to October yet... It was hard enough looking through some of his photos last night but I honestly dont know how I'm going to look at his lovely raspberry covered face for the rest of the month

Maybe by seeing how happy he was being smeared with raspberry juice would actually help you to heal.
Too bad he's not on the same calendar as my babies. I would love to see his pic all month long.

Those pics of Kazi are precious. He certainly looked good in all of them, hard to believe things happened so quickly after taking them.

I'm glad you submitted pics of him for the calendar. I know how hard it was for you to look through them. It's nice seeing the pics of them so healthy and happy though, isn't it?

I looked up the pic of Kazi in last years calendar. He looked absolutely adorable with the raspberry smeared on his face & beard. That will surely make you smile when you look at it every day this month. (((hugs)))

It is definitely nice to look through the pics of him when he was happy and healthy. He was so bright and yellow! The pics I submitted this year are both quite similar but they are 2 of my favourites.

It will make me smile. I finally changed it a few hours ago and it did make me feel happy.

Now, my focus is getting Phoebe well. I just hope that she is going to be OK!

I had such mixed emotions when I looked at Kazi's pics, it brought tears to my eyes and then a smile, he didn't even look ill........ I'm so happy that you submitted a calendar picture,..........when you said he was in the October month, I ran to look at my calendar and was sad that he was not in mine. I'm glad I have these pics to look at.........thanks for sharing.

Diane,Phoebe has salmonella, coccidia, pinworms and yeasts. Her blood tests make it look like she is gravid plus she has an elevated uric acid level which could be gout or possible renal issues

:shock: Oh no! Poor Phoebe. I hope however she contracted those yuckies she'll be able to rid of them quick enough.

Hi Christina, I'm sorry to hear about Pheobe, hopefully she'll be alright with medication. Tell her we're all praying that she'll get well soon.

I'm also glad you sent in pics of Kazi. I missed last year's calendar, not knowing that Angel & Issy would get sick & pass away the following Feb & April. They were much loved & we were devestated with Issy, she was healthy one day, picked up a virus (we still don't know how) that made her sick & she was gone in a few hours. I almost lost Lonzo, but was there when he was sick & used mouth to snout respiration & saved his life. Guess that makes me an expert on snout to mouth respiration. Now I know what to do, it may just come in handy one day. Angel was a rescue, so when she became ill with kidney disease it wasn't a surprise, she had severe MBD and the vet had warned me of complications. We rescued her anyway and gave her the best year of her life by just letting her be a dragon. I still miss my girls, but I know Roger's on the other side of Rainbow Bridge caring for them, Kazi, Sabrina and all the other lost beardies. It has given me alot of comfort thinking of my hubby handling thousands of beardies, in his element & playing with them all day. I know it sounds a bit nuts, but it really helped me after he died. Lifted my heart to think of the possibility. Seeing as he loved dragons more than most people, it just made sense that he'd choose beardie heaven instead of people heaven.

I think of you often and hope that you're recovering as well as possible. Having Huff & Pheobe must help, too. Having the other dragons to take care of helped me with my grief of Issy and Angel. Whatever helps is a good thing.

Thanks guys! I really do appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. Phoebe is doing really well with the meds she is getting so far... im in 2 minds about starting the albon today... I will wait to see. Right now, my main focus is making sure that she is SUPER hydrated to help her kidneys out. I will make sure to keep you all posted.

Deb, Im so sorry you lost them both so close together and then Rodger At least you can find comfort in the fact that he is up there looking after them all Im sure he has his work cut out with Kazi trying his best to get all of those girls!! LOL!!
