Christina, I'm so glad that you, your husband and mother-in-law were with him when he passed. It must have been hard for your niece to be able to accept it.
Kazi taught us all a lot, especially the way he tried to overcome every hurdle, he was a true fighter and certainly lived up to his name. We will all miss hearing about him. We are all here for you.

I've been thinking of you all day and I wanted to let you know something. Sometimes you loose them no matter how hard you try to get them well. I'm glad you all were with Kazi when he passed, it's something you won't regret. I remember when we lost Redrock, I was at work and couldn't leave when she died, Bill (husband) was with her then. When we lost Miss Y (yellow and black colored beard) We just happened to be awake at about 1:30am our time when she, wide awake for some reason, crawled out of her sleep box when I picked her up and we both gave her some cuddles. I put her back in her sleep box. We think she died shortly after that as we never really saw her alive after that. We believe she knew it was the end for her and she wanted to say good-by to us. Her best friend, Miss O, was depressed after that until she died, unfortunately, she died at the vets the day after we left her there so he could treat her.

We waited because we didn't know any good reptile vets to take Miss O to the Drs. I felt if we had taken her in sooner, she might have survived, but then again might not have, either. We took Redrock to the vets immediately, spent about $150 to $200 on her, only to loose her anyway. Sometimes it doesn't matter what you do, you still loose them. We are grateful to have had them, even tho it was less than 2 years, they were soo much fun. I really do not understand why people don't like beardies.

I was expecting this for some reason but I didn't think it would be this soon. Again, I'm sorry and I send you more hugs.

If I can help any, let me know, even if it's just to vent. We all need that upon occasion.

Christina, I'm so sorry to hear about Kazi, I was so hoping he would get better. Know that my thoughts are with you at this time. He's no longer in pain. I know what it's like to lose a loved beardie & the pain never does go away, he'll be in your hearts forever.

Thank you everyone!
This is rough. We just came down to his empty viv. Phoebe got super cuddles this morning- she has not een awake for 48 hours but we needed chubby Phoebe cuddles. For the first time in a week, she didn't try to bite us when we woke her up. She just looked up as ifrit say 'what's wrong' and then wriggled in to sleep.
Huff will get cuddles later.
I swear, these 2 won't know what has hit them now with cuddles!
I can't get the image of what happened yesterday out of my head. I hated seeing him doing that thing. It's horrible. My husband saw it with Abu. It haunted him for months an now he has had to watch it again. I was just pleading with him to go at the end. I just wanted it robe over for him, even though I did t want to lose him.
O, there i go crying again.
I will post pics of him in a dew days, when I'm ready to look. I'm sTill going to submit some for the calendar.

Good morning Christina,
Thought about you and cried with you all day yesterday. It's good that you are talking about it though, even if it continues to bring up tears. Those crying headaches are the worst! How special you still have Huff and Phoebe to snuggle. Not much to say really, just wanted to reach out and touch you and let you know, that like everyone else, that I care about you and hope today is a tiny bit better.

Thank you so much, Suzanne. It means a lotthat people are thinking of us right now.
Phoebe has been up all day. Se has been moving around and basking. I figure she knows. I think she knew it was coming. And now she knows we need her. I got some locusts for them as a special treat.
It's so strange. I don't quite know what to do with myself. For so long, every minute of my day was consumed by Kazi. Even sleep was beyond me for so long. There are reminders of Kazi all around the house. His meds etc are all around the kitchen. His towels and blankets. The postman knocked on the door this morning. I knew as soon as he knocked that it was the package for kazi, from Tracie.
I slept for 10 hrs last night. I never do that. I cried myself to sleep and woke up crying again.
Phoebe and Huff are going to the vets next week for full health checks. Every test i can possibly think of will be run.

So do I, Christina, good idea to make sure they're both in good health. I've been thinking of you before and after Kazi passed away. The best thing to remember is he's out of pain, with Ash and all the others and he's healthy & happy, able to look down at you to let you know that he knows how much you loved him & cared for him. I really believe that, it gave me peace when Angel & Issy passed. I did the same thing, took everyone to the vet for a check up. I wish you peace of heart, Christina, thanks for keeping us updated on how you all are doing.
