Hey everyone just introducing my self a little bit. Im new to the Bearded dragons. Ive had mine for about a month now. Most questions i had itially were answered here. So felt i should make an account.

Thank you. im not sure gender yet. He/She idk is about 9 front tip of snout to tail. i reciently moved Shenron into a 36 x 18 x 12 Eco tanks that open from front. Anyone know where i can orders a few invidual slate tiles for the flooring?

I picked a couple up from Home Depot (USA company). You probably will have to have them cut a little bit if you buy the large ones.

Sadly i dont live anywhere near a Home depot or lowes. i have to drive about 2 hours an into New hampshire to get to lowes lol.

Do you have any local stores that sell tile, wood, the type of things you would need to re-do homes? Any store like that would or should have what you need. You can go to a Walmart, or other type of store and get some non-adhesive shelf liner, that works for substrate also.

I looked at one placen today an they only had smooth non textured tiles. Ill look more tomorrow. i have newspaper in there right now so thats good till i can find something. Also should my UVB tube be inside the tank or ontop of the mesh ok?

I would try to mount it so that it's not laying on top of the screen because the screen tends to cut out 50% of the uvb so he won't get as much of the uvb as he should.

Which end of the tank would you hang in on?

The uvb needs to be over the basking spot. The basking spot should be about 100F to 110F, temp wise as she's a baby she'll prefer it closer to 110. When we got Lil Squirt last November she was used to the temps being between 105 and 108. She now seems to like it a little cooler but then she's about 9.5 months old. She'll be one year old on June 18, 2013.

The light has a reflector and plastic base. Can i mount it to closest wall aiming at the basking spot instead. If Shenron opens his mouth when he basks is it safe to say its hot enough?

I've seen some people do that. We have a Mega Ray with a dome fixture hooked on a light stand. When we had to use the reptisun 10 tube, we have an 18 inch tube and a fish type fixture, we had to sideways on the top of the viv. The way you described would get the uvb closer to your baby then the way we did it.
