Hello,
I'm relatively new to this website, though I have posted questions prior to this "blog." I fell in love with bearded dragons on a trip to Petco. I've always wanted a reptile and I have a dragon statue collection at home so it seemed perfect. Jace, however, was not my first beardie. My first beardie was one of the two smaller ones. The employees hadn't gotten around to putting on of the little ones up for adoption because he would have a seizure whenever he was picked up. They were pretty sure the one I had picked wasn't the seizure one. I bought him the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and am sad to say I returned him that following Monday. This one had seizures whenever he was put down. I knew, being a new owner, that it would be better for the both of us if I returned him to Petco and that was when I got Jace, the love of my life. On a side note, the two that suffered from seizures got adopted to loving homes where someone can take care of them :D . Anyways, on to my picture show.

This was my first night with Jace. He no longer has that cage - he is in a bigger one and on tiles instead.

I loved the way he just dug a bed and curled up.

I loved the natural blue that came out - don't know how that happened

Again, his dig box before we changed it:

He loves my computer

That's it for now, but he's a very photogenic man so there will be more to follow.

I am sorry :(. It sucks when things build up like that. We had a bunch of stuff happen a few months back. Andrews car got repossed, we got robbed, and then come to find out I own thousands I medical bills, and then my 18 year old cat died.

Well, I guess this goes with the age old saying "That which does not kill you makes you that much stronger." So I guess for everyone here we are due to come into a lot of money.

Oh for sure. I am hoping that I am somehow related to a rich person that will somehow give me money.

Good luck. I'm hoping this means my book will make money.

Cleaned out the dubia bin and they are doing well, saw a lot of baby nymphs. Holding off until the hornworms are done seems to be paying off. Paul paid $35 for 500 1/2"=1" roaches from Kimbrell.

Crying is good for you, released endorphins that help relieve depression, so don't hold it in, that just makes you sick. So glad to hear you got some weight off!

Sometimes I think inanimate objects talk to themselves "so who's next to break down to really get to this human?" Honestly, it's one thing after another, but I'm glad you got to see your movies again. I love movies, too, having "on demand" is really bad for me, could cost me lots! The $5 bin at Walmart is also my undoing, so I've started ordering moves through the library, takes awhile, but so worth it, as it's free! It's great that you can cache the Netflix, too, that's great!

Sometimes I just really hate electronics. Paul will be buying a cord so I can watch Netflix, woohoo! I don't have On Demand, but that's okay  I don't need to be poorer

Sorry you've had a rough go the past few days! It will get better and yes calciworms, reptiworms and phoenix worms are all black soldier fly larvae, it is just the difference in how they are raised is the reason for the different names, but it is all the same!

Another quick question: How many hornworms should I give Jace and Zy? I gave them each 10 mediums and they ate them all like no body's business.

I would think that is plenty but I am also not used to a dragon that likes to eat. Lol

Well if they are hungry still I will offer plenty of salads

... I will drumroll myself then!

Without further ado, I give you his official name: Venser! Sparta and Slifer were names I wasn't 100% sure on, just names to appease the boy I love

So I got a video of him moving. He had just eaten a cricket (as you will see in later pictures) and we were trying to give him a hornworm, but a guess a cricket was all he wanted.

Here's the video:

And here are the pics:

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
