Hi all ! - New owner - juvenile beardie - we just got him yesterday and we just noticed the tail - is this usual ?

He is active and happy - eating well - and quite curious, thanks for any clues

Beardie name(s)
Hiccup he is 6 and Blaze is 4
It looks dried out and dead-- is there any injuries to the tail like bite marks or has it been pinched in a door etc ?

It's good that the dead tissue fell off. Keep a close eye on the tail. If you start to see damage moving further up the tail, it may indicate an infection and will need treatment from an experienced reptile vet. If it heals over and the rest of the tail continues to look normal, it shouldn't cause any further issues.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
