Is this setup ok?

I know the basking spot is supposed to be a rock but i put the log in the center to get him up higher. He has a vine, log, rock, and food bowl.

The basking spot doesn't necessarily have to be a rock. It could be anything that would allow your beardie to get up high enough to bask but yet have the ease of movement without the potential to cause harm.
Is the log secured in any way to the tank? From the looks of it, it could tip over at any moment.

I like the log; it looks neat. I agree it doesn't have to be a rock. Loki has a "little" tree.

Is there a cooler area of the tank? It looks like from the picture the whole tank might be kind of warm from the light, but that could be the angle of the photo too.

No there isn't a cool spot. I never thought about that. Should I re-arrange the tank even though it already has several times and he has only been home for two days?

I would probably just bump your tree a little further to the right in the photo and shift the salad over to the left side of the tank. Otherwise, that looks really nice!

The basking spot is supposed to be on one side and a cool side on the other side. The basking spot should be around 100-110 and the cool side in the 80s. Just move the log and light over to make the basking spot in a hot side. You also want to keep the food bowl and water bowl (you don't NEED one) on the cool side.

Alright I moved it around a little...
Is this good?

Also, the temperature only gets to 90 degrees. I'm going to walmart today to get a digital because I know they can be off.

Looks better, ya 90 degrees is not nearly hot enough for the basking spot. Let us know when you get a probe and update the temps!

Yeah, a higher watt will probably help you get up to temperature, but it will be more difficult to fine tune the temperature the higher you go. I have a 150 watt and it takes very minute adjustments. Too much or too little can throw it off wack. Maybe a 100 watt would work for you.

Congrats on your new beardie! :D
You mentioned being worried that he is not eating right now. This is okay, they can go through a bit of relocation stress. Once you get your temps and lights all figured out and your little guy gets more adjusted to his new home he will start eating for you.
I would like to suggest a few things, if that's okay!
Your tank looks very nice and that log is awesome, but I'm afraid from the pic, that your beardie may be too close to the basking light.
How close is he to the basking light? What watt is the basking bulb?
Is that a 10 gallon tank? It could be larger, but looks to be small in the pic. If it is a 10 gal, they can be very hard to get the temp gradients that you need, due to their size.
Glad to hear you are going to get a digital thermometer. You will definitely need one for accurate temps.
As far as your temps go, for a baby, the basking side should be between 100-110. A little more towards the higher end of those temps for a baby beardie. The coolside between 78-82.
What brand tube uvb are you using?

It is a 20 gallon tank and he is 5 inches from the bulb. The bulb was only 50 watts i just put a 60 watt one in though. It is a "zilla" UV light.

If the UVB is resting on a screen top, which it looks like it is, you may want to try to figure out some way of mounting it inside the viv. Screens can block a significant percentage of the UVB. I have a glass aquarium-type viv and the way I mounted my UVB inside was to get a couple of 3M adhesive picture hangers and stick the to the glass, then I used the mounting holes on the back of my fluorescent fixture to hang it from the hooks. If your fixture has any sort of mounting holes on it, you could do the same. If not, you may be able to drill holes into it or others might have some suggestions for how to mount it inside the tank.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
