I would worry, my 4 month old is exactly 10 inches. 4 months man

Bearded dragons grow at much different rates, mine is also nearly 6 months old and only 10 inches long. He gets tons of food, he just hasn't hit his growth spurt yet. Sometimes they take a little while to kick into gear ;) However, you do need to make sure that he gets enough protein (at least equivalent to the 2 feedings per day).

Yours is fine im not talking about you, look at his dragon in his picture. Nothing on it, is bigger than my 4 month old. That's not good nutrition, but he needs to change something, its growing way to slow.

I know you were talking about his :p I was just saying that mine is the same age and the same size, he looks just like the one in his picture. It happens though, some beardies just hit puberty late :)

I am waiting on delivery of a new beardies, she is 2 months old and 10 inches so your guy does sound to be on the small size.

Have you has a fecal test done? It could be that he has parasites?

At this age he should be eating live food 2x a day and as much as he wants. Could there be any reason for his lack in apetite? What UVB bulb are you using and what are the temps of his basking spot?

My beardie is 6-7 months and that length too, he eats about 10-20 reptiworms a day, he doesn't eat his veggies often as I'd like him too.
As long as your feeding him daily I wouldn't worry he'll catch up, just make sure his poop looks healthy

Not sure of mine's exact age but i know its 3 months old at the maximum and it is a hair under 12in. It eats about 15-25 crickets and about a half a tablespoon of squash per day.

Has he been pooping regularly? It looks like you either have him on crushed walnut shells (desert blend) or sand, which either are highly not reccomended and could cause impaction and other health issues. They lick and taste everything, and when they are going for their prey they get in in their mouth and end up eating it. Petstores will reccomend it, but try to Google walnut shells and calci sand on young dragons, its almost never a good thing. Something solid, like reptile carpet, papertowels, tile, non adhesive shelf liner are all good substrates that have no risks. :) And my female is 5 months and 11" and eats between 30-40 crickets a day with some super worms and dubia roaches (another thing you can try, mine goes CRAZY over dubia) so it may be something to worry about. Even if he doesnt get impacted from the substrate, just a little can cause him a belly ache which may be why hes reluctant to eat. And if he eats wax worms, he will probably eat repti worms, they are very similar. You could also try butterworms, aparently they smell like fruit to beardies and they love them, or silk worms. Theres lots of feeders you can try, Im sure he will like at least one of them :D

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
