Is a bearded dragon tank supposed to be 70 gal wide or tall?

I think the person I spoke to said it's supposed to be at least 70 gallons WIDE but my mom said it was at least 70 gallons TALL. Does any one know what it is?

For beardies it's better to have a long tank . Something like an iguana or chameleon needs a tall tank, they are arboreal and spend most of their time up in trees..
