I would hope that all us here are decent people. I have yet to meet any stalkers :D We could start a thread of our kids with their beardies. That would be way cute! I would do it.
Having been living in a small town for a few years (from a major city) I have relaxed alittle about the evil that does exsist. Even here to a much less extent. It's all about what you feel comfortable with. I'm sure your little pooper with start being more comfortable very soon

I'm comfortable with the people I've met here, and I'm not OBSESSIVE about it, but the fact is that even something like Facebook limits pics I post to my friends, whereas if I posted a pic here, literally ANYONE with an Internet connection could view it.

Steve - I don’t have any kids, but I can totally understand where you’re coming from on this one. Bottom line, he’s your son so if you’re uncomfortable with it don’t do it. I know I would feel the exact same way. With the way the world is these days you can never be to safe with the young ones! :)

As for Khalil, well you do have to continue posting pictures of him. There’s absolutely no getting out of that one! Especially tonight if you decide to give him his first bath! I can’t wait to see more of him.

Keeping my fingers crossed he eats something for you tonight. Good luck!

Yeah, unfortunately my son went back to his mom's house, with camera in tow. :(

So, if I take pics tonight it will be with the crappy cell phone camera!

*wonders if Khalil is eating crickets as we speak*

Hey Steve, if you leave crickets make sure they are in a bowl or something they can't get out of! They have been known to chew on babies. I understand 100% about posting pics of kids. A lot of people in scrapbookin forums blur the face or put a box over it or even just the eyes (a surprising amount of facial recognition has to do with the eyes). Just some thoughts!

Isn't the chewing on babies thing if you leave them in there overnight? Or at any time?

*bites nails*

Tom at TND feeds his crickets in the morning in their bins and leaves them in there until they're gone...

Well, I think Khalil is "stealth eating."

At lunch time, I put maybe 5 or 6 crickets in his viv and left them there. When I got home, there were not readily visible. I poked around a bit and found one hiding, but I couldn't find the others. I also found two poops today. Not sure how fast their digestive tract works, but I'm hopeful that poo means he actually ingested something since he "came home."

Now, granted, I didn't go through the entire terrarium in great detail, and I know crickets are devilishly good climbers, but I'm hopeful. I just gave him his first batch, which was not terribly exciting:

I've just given him a few more crickets, and then before lights out I'll check for any escapees and get them out of there before beddie-bye. :D

You can't tell, but he was giving me the stink eye the whole time. 3 months old, and he's already mastered it.

Sorry to hear he still hasn't eaten much. At least I'm getting a sense of what I'm for in a few days. I'm sure Khalil will come around just fine though. Did you ever break down and get him a blankie?

Oh and cute video too! I think he's a little cutie. ;)

No blanky, but I have a folded up old t-shirt of Mike's in there. It will be interesting to see where he sleeps tonight!

Well, I am certainly learning the joys of crickets firsthand. :)

First off, as I'm sure people have mentioned, they STINK. Sheesh.

Secondly, I found the little buggers hiding in the viv, and attempted to get them out with my fingers (no tweezers) so that there's none left in there over night. I CAN'T CATCH THEM! @#()$* There's still at least 2 in there, and I have to leave. :(

So, hopefully they won't gnaw on poor Khalil all night. :( :(

What you could do is put food in w/the crickets to give them a tastier snack than a sleeping beardie. I did that sometimes when I couldnt get all the itty-bitty crickets out, never had a pb.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
