Oh Chels....
Don't take offense but what you have been taught at the petstore is for the most part.........wrong.
There are a few things fromt his post that need some addressing....
1. never ever feed mealworms! Not even as treat. They have entirely too much chitin that will cause impaction that is often fatal.
2. Ditch the lettuce! It's full of almost no useful nutrients that they need. Visit beautifuldragons.com for a list of goods and bads for foods.
3. He is probably scared due to relocation stress. Give him some time and he will come around. Make sure that you are moving very slowly and deliberately. try to never come over the top of him but instead approach him with your hand below him and in front of him.
4. I would like to go ever the rest of your set up with you because I fear that there are many issues that we commonly see with petstores....Be sure to answer them with as much detail as possible so we can get you and your beardie on a great, long, and healthy road!
