I want to build my own viv

My baby is still really small but I want to build a bigger one for when he is ready.

I have no idea where to start. My boyfriend works in a hardware store so I'm hoping this will help me eliminate some expenses.

Also, right now he's in a 10g and he keeps getting a lot of stress marks when he's on his basking log. I think it might be because he can see himself and he was picked on at the pet store. What's the best thing to do to cover the sides of the tank?

i made my own viv out of contiboard and perspex instead of glass, 6x2x2ft all in cost less than £100 ill post sum pics later

You can put some pictures on it. Basically like the aquarium backgrounds. It should stop the reflection maybe do 3 sides.
