Hey now, don't hate on the little guys. Without them we'd be infested by all sorts of annoying bugs. They aren't evil, believe me, I have ran into WAY wickeder bugs, which means wasps. Those CHASE you, even when you are nowhere near their nest. Spiders are just minding their own business. They don't deserve all the hate they get. Seriously, spiders are way more afraid of us than we are of them. They only bite us when we hurt them. For example, I used to get bit by spiders almost every night when I was sleeping. Regular spider bites swell bigger for me than other people, so I am semi-allergic. I didn't blame the spiders though, no, I felt sad when I saw one squished in my bed. It's not their fault that they are attracted to our warm bodies and dark beds.
I admit, spiders are creepy. I love them, yet freak out a bit when I am near one, especially a fast moving one. But I hate it when people say, "spiders should die" or "next time I find that spider I'm going to kill it" or "they are such evil things". No, they shouldn't die and no, they aren't evil. They are beautiful, intelligent (I have proof) and only attack when aggravated.
So people, please, next time you see a spider, DON'T kill it. Find a safe way to put it back outside, or have someone not so afraid do it. It has a job to do out there, and should be allowed to do it. Save the spiders and LOVE them!
I just had to post this. The spider hate shouldn't go on any longer. What happened to understanding before hating? Most of us love reptiles and hate it when other people call our reptiles 'scary' or 'evil', right? So if you can understand beardies, what is stopping you from understanding our eight legged friends? Who just need some love.
