... it's cheese crisps/chips. After opening the package, just thought... OMG! They look very much like pupated mealworms or pupated superworms. So. very. much.
(If you never had a pupated one, look it up )

All those animal cookies, animal chips... where you have to guess "So, is this now the giraffe or the penguin?" as they look very deformed - they are nothing against that
(These are regular chips sold here. No "Halloween edition", no "wormies" or such.)

I've never seen anything shaped like those in my neck of the woods, but now that you've shared that picture, I'll never eat them even if I do see them.

They are sold in Chile and package says "ondulados", which would mean "twisted". Image on package shows twisted ones... very unsuspicious.
The actual chips however have clearly a "head" and a "tail", and if I would have to make "pupated larvae" chips for something, they would look exactly like these...
(Are tasty and I find it funny. Bought them again.)

I haven't had fritos in decades because my aunt's dog's feet smelled like fritos lol. I'll never not see worms with those.

Had another bag today (after we had in total 3 bags of the "worms") and now they look like one would expect some puffed cheese chips to look like. Pupated larvae gone...
But was fun that we got some! Checked the package, it's really the same product than it was before. I guess somebody has recognized how they looked like
(Despite reptiles aren't common here, mealworms and superworms are sold here widely as people also use them as chicken feed and so people might know the pupae. Not unlikely that a customer wrote them, or even somebody at the factory recognized something )
