how to determine brumation?

is there any way of telling when a dragon might be getting ready to go into brumation?
i have never experienced brumation so i have no idea what to look for when or if my dragon goes through with it. any info would be great!

his lights come on at 930am and he's been laying under the log all day just sleeping. anything?

check this out: http://www.beardeddragon.org/articles/brumation/?page=1 it has a lot of great information here but honestly, IMO, the only thing to do is just go with the flow... thats what was suggested to me. i'm afraid i'll miss something and he will be sick as opposed to going into brumation but Phoenix has all the signs of brumation... barely eating, wont bask and sleeps off and on, and he has had a full vet visit and eveyrthing is clean, but i too am still a bit unsure about the process... i can read about it all day long but until i actually take part in or see whats going on i guess its hard for me to grab hold of the idea... anyways i hope this helps you, and maybe we can help eachother lol...

I have 2 that if i dont pull them out and set them up on the basking area i think they would stay in the hide all day. They are lazy. Might try that. Is he eating?

yeah pretty much. he'll poke his head out and look around then just go back to sleep but this morning he was up on he perch log so idk

yeah mine is doing the same thing. not basking as much and hanging out in the cooler parts of the cage. yeah ive called tons of places and read a lot online but you will never know until you experience it first hand so im gonna go with the flow as you said and see what happens. i will keep you updated! good luck to you as well!

ha yeah ive done that before but then he just gets off and goes back under the log. i fed him some mealworms yesterday and made a salad for him but he didnt touch the salad at all

Whats his set up? He should be basking most of the day. How hot is his basking area? What do you normaly feed him and what is the salad.
