How much should an almost 2 month old weigh?

The breeder told me she hatched out June 11th. She is 6 inches and weights 8 grams. I'm worried it's a little/lot low. I've been seeing some 6-8 inch ones weigh in their 20's.

Yes that weight is a little low. Can you post a pic of your dragon? I am trying to remember all my weights of my babies...I'm not at home where my notebook is...Mecca hatched around 6/1 and she is in the 20-gram range and maybe a little heavier.

How long have you had the dragon? What is she eating and how many times a day?

I got her on July 14th. She has been eating small roaches/crickets and she is just now starting to eat mustard greens. She is in a 40 breeder with a 24" Reptisun 10.0 UVB tube placed on the inside of her tank with an under cabinet fixture. She has a nice basking area as well, with fresh salads and water in her tank everyday. I lightly drip water on her face 2-3 times a day for her to drink. When we ran out of roaches she has become very stubborn about eating the criclets but she does eat them, just not as much and eagerly as she does with roaches. She is fed 2-3 times a day, though like I said, she hates crickets so she is very finiky with them.

She doesn't look like she is starving! She is very petite, but her tail base is not bony and her ribs are not showing. I would be concerned at her age if she doesn't like crickets and isn't eating much. They have a hard time going from roaches to crickets. Crickets must not taste as good!! We have 2 out of 6 babies that barely eat crickets, but love their roaches. It's an easy fix though - just go back to feeding roaches. :D

Well that's a sigh of relief! I actually just got done weighing her and she is now 9 grams :'). And yeah, she is definitely going back to roaches, we just have to wait until Saturday when the Reptile Expo is to stock up. Ordering them online is quite expensive, or else I would. I am going to be starting a roach colony so I won't have to worry about her running out. Poor girl is having such a hard time dealing with these nasty crickets.

I'm glad you are able to go back to roaches. I do think that when they don't like their food they just don't do as well in general. Hope you have a good time at the expo, and if you see the feeder company selling wax worms at the expo, you should get some for her. They are like beardie candy bars, and should only get a few a day, as a treat. They really love them. :D

Thank you, Lara! :)
And thanks a lot for your help, ShannyBeard.
We are actually going to get her waxworms tomorrow. Our local pet store sells 12 for 50 cents. I really hope she likes them!

That's awesome and it will help her get a little meat on her. Just remember not to feed her too many. #1 - any time you introduce a new feeder you need to do it slowly with just a few at first to give their stomach and digestive system a chance to adjust. #2 - babies can be quite sensitive and they can gorge themselves and then not feel so good.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
