That's about how much they cost at my regular pet store, but I have a reptile store near me that sells 100 for $4.00 which is pretty good. I also have a cricket farm within driving distance that sells 1000 for $21.00. Unfortunately, my dragon won't eat them!
I don't know if Ghann's (http://www.ghann.com) delivers to Canada, and it probably wouldn't be the same price, but I pay $28 shipped for 1000, so $.028 cents apiece.
crickets shouldnt be bought at mainstream petstores...they charge way too much!
i get mine from a reptile breeder. He gets them in bulk and sells me a box of 500 for 13.50
i dont think im quite ready to try the 1000 count. mostly because i have to get two sizes on for the small baby and one for the bigger babies.
if i were to do the same thing at the reg pet stores it would be an arm and a leg...trying to make the amount of profit they do off unsuspecting reptile owners is criminal.
YUP, and now that I have my new guy, I've got to pick up pinheads at pet's unlimited, the only place I know has them around here, and they cost even more than the adult ones. WTF?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
