I have a 5 month old that is a little over 16" already and he hasn't stopped growing since day one. And he's not a German Giant, he was the first hatched from my first clutch.
This is so true! My oldest beardie(7) grew 1.5" in length after the age of two. This is not the norm though. As Gail mentioned... it is not like they magically stop growing at any age. Though they are considered full grown adults at 1.5 years.. there is still room for growth. Generally in girth rather than in length. As Gail also stated... genetics and husbandry have alot to do with a beardie's size.
Hmmmmm. Draco is around 7 months old and right at 18 inches long. I know he is a big boy and I do not think he is done growing. He does have full body sheds at least once a month.
Could be from that UVB (you are right). Hopefully she will start growing again. My son has a 6 mos. old beardie and I think I caught the bad light just in time for him to grow.
the smallest well cared for beardie i have seen was around 10 inches full grown (I think some lawson's dragon had been mixed into the bloodlines in the past) my beardie is approx. 1 1/2 - 3 years (they were guestimating the rest of them that came in were around 3, he is smaller and possibly the son of a couple of them) and he is approximately 16 inches. Personally i hope he grows a little bit (1-2 inches), but the conditions he was found in i'm supprised he's even this big. Today is day 23 of ownership of his and he's doing better...
My male is 1year 3months old 382 grams and is 19 inches long and is going through another shed so he will be longer when I measure him again in another month.
My female will be 1 year in June and she is about 17 inches long and is a chunky girl if I can catch her when she is sleeping I will let you know her wait and approx length
