Hey guys did I misunderstand the title of this thread?
My bad I was thinking how many feeders do I breed and raise.

So in addition to the Supers and Turks at this very moment I have Phoenix and Butters to add to that.

Hehe, I may have misunderstood it.. but it was late when I answered it. I just said how many I have, but after that is when others started bragging :D about what they have. ok ok.. maybe not bragging, I'm just jealous!

 They use to freak me out too but really their not that bad. I've had them sense March and have actually become okay with them. I think all bugs are creepy. I remember the first time I pick up PW's (magots) that
was pretty gross and creepy too.

seriously doubt I could do turks.

I have phoenix worms (1000+)
superworms (around 50 , trying to start a colony)

mealworms (colony is huge growing nicely - around 200 beetles now plus worms)
- although I am not sure I will be feeding mealies to my dragons much. Probably will just be using them as fishing bait.

thinking seriously about getting some Dubia's although I am worried about allergies.

about 200 super worms, i bought them for breeding since my guys are still a lil small
2000ish crickets
300-400 dubia - colony is still growing
a cup of PW's on my desk that are prob all dead

then theres some random super worms that managed to get out of my container and i find roaming the house or the floor of my room.

Totally just wondering I know i'm off topic, but I'm going to start breeding dubias soon and would really venture to know about infestation! My parents are very very freaked about roaches and infestation and just 1 or 2 escapees would cause this???.....What else can I tell them to reassure them, I told them about not being able to climb, run (quickly) or fly

Anyone here have an infestation due to colony?

From my whole less than a week of experience owning them and a months worth of reading up on them...

dubia are amazing.

They can't climb smooth surfaces so the only way they are going to get loose is if you purposely set them free. feeding them is extremely easy. If you did decide one day to take out one of their egg crates and while shaking it scream "your free!" they most likely wont breed. unless you live in Florida. then your screwed.
