Hi all, I currently have a beardie, Sid he/she is a little over 1 year old (roughly 16 months old)
Anyway I want to buy another baby beardie, so I'm just wondering can I put the baby in with Sid or will he be eaten? Thanks

It isn't recommended. Bearded dragons are territorial and tend not to get along. The risk is greater when there's an age and size difference as well, and it is possible that the older beardie will attack or even eat the younger beardie. If you are going to get another beardie, your best bet is to also buy a new, separate setup for him/her.

If 2 female babies live together in same 4'x2' viv and throught out their lives?

Beckio, the baby would probably be eaten the first day. Many times it's not even safe to put them on the floor near each other. Beardies have no maternal/paternal instincts and get pretty excited at " large" prey items, and that is exactly what a baby beardie looks like to them...something to eat.

GG1, sometimes 2 female babies that are the same size can be raised + housed together, usually you need to get them at the same time rather than introduce one after a while. But even then there can be fighting and serious bites that maim.

But a baby can never, ever be housed with an adult and it's risky to put them near each other.

As you stated, I would only consider putting 2 baby females for the first/same time together.
Two known breeders have very different opinions on whether a 4'x2' is too small for 2 adults.
What do you think??

Thank you all for your replies. I do have Sids old starter tank that I can house my baby in.

It is a bit small but not terribly so.

I have an 8 year old male in a 4'x2' viv and an empty same size viv below. Would you recommend getting a female (or 2) or a male in the empty viv?
Which gender would cause the least stress to the dragons?
I do not put them together.

My 9 year old female passed away several weeks ago, hence the empty viv.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
