Hello,

Good that you have gotten the Powersun moved. The closest it should be is 10 inches from her. I would give her a break from it for around 5-7 days. Until then, get a nice bright halogen flood bulb to use for the basking until you put the Powersun back in. That will just give her eyes a break for a few days, ok?
She is dehydrated from being overexposed to UVB lighting/radiation. There are no bad UVB wavelengths associated with this light, but she has just taken in too much UVB, in general & is dehydrated. Think about how we feel when we are outside in the sun for a decent amount of time? We are dried out by the sun & tend to get pretty thirsty. They can get the same way, too.
So, if you feel it is necessary, you can add a couple of drops of olive oil to her food, but if you feel she is impacted, I would give soft foods for a few days such as chicken or turkey babyfood, squash babyfood, & some sugar free applesauce or pumpkin mixed with that as well for fiber in helping her pass any impactions.

Let us know how she is doing.

Glad you were able to make some modifications to her tank.

You've already received excellent advice but just wanted to lend some support.

Please do keep us posted on how she's doing.

so shes still young not to be eating or pooping, at that age they should be eating and pooping daily.
could you answer some questions please to give us a better idea?

when was her last poop? what did it look like?
have you ever had a fecal sample done?
do you bath her?
what do you feed her as livefood? be specific please?
what uvb do you have and what brand?
how old is your uvb?
what lighting/ heating do you have for her?
what are your temps up the cool, warm and basking areas?
what do you measure temps with? probe, digital or stick on round one?
does she eat any greens at all?
do you supplement calcium and multi vits? if so what brands and how often?
have you felt any lumps or anything else in her abdomen?
does she have a black beard at all?
any stress marks?
what substrate do you use?

if you dont bath her then maybe try giving her a bath, lukewarm water just above her elbows, and massage her from her right armpit to her vent very very gently, im thinking maybe shes impacted and that could be why shes not eating. this will help her to poop if she is. so shes not eating anything at all? when was the last thing she ate?

ok so she finaly took the hugest dump in the world, like it scared me bigger than i though was possible, but still a little skitish around eating? and
her tank is 40 gal, powersun 100w mvb, 110 warm, 80 cool, she is on cal sand which i kno yal hate but she been doing fine, i gave her some olive oil and she went so,? dunno maybe she just ate to many crickets( she ate about 20 the night before) then i stoped feeding her. the bulb is brand new(2 months) but her eyes still seem a little wierd, she was able to get within 2-3 inches of it, and poeple said that was bad and recomended turning it off for a day or two, so we see how she does,

thanks for help-im just estatic she poo-ed :puke:

she is doing better i think, and tracy you have been of the up most help to me, i own alona to you, she loves you for your help, :blob5: :blob8: and the rest of you of course, she seems to being doing better, she pooped, and she has been drinking a MASSIVE AMOUNT OF WATER from her baths, like she will dunk her bead down and gulp water from anywhere between 30 seconds and the longest i seen 2 MINUTES

she must be dehydrated so thanks very much, would it be bad if i put the bulb back in? but it is about 14 inches away? i feel bad because she isnt getting any uv ?

I'm glad to hear your dragon is doing better. I believe Tracie already answered your question about putting the light back in:

I think the idea is that for a few days, she needs a FULL BREAK from the UVB. It will help her eye heal fully. She will be okay without UVB for a few days, in fact, I believe in this case it would be MORE beneficial for her to be without it for a short time, as Tracie suggested.

Thanks for keeping us posted. I hope she continues to do better and better! :)

The best,
Em

im so worried about my hunior, i took him to the hospital today when i went to visit my grandfather. but i had to leave him in the car. the windows were down and he was in his carry case, there was a small amount of direct sunlight but mostly shaded. he was in the car for about an hour. when we came back he was a white/yellow color, limp, mouth open, he had alot of saliva built up in his mouth that was sticky, his beard was totally black. he twists his body into a circle, and when i held him he threw his arms and body back arching backwards. i took him home gave him a bath, and put him in his cage.

is there something really wrong?

should i take him to see a vet?

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Yes you need to get him to the vet.How hot did the car get?It doesnt really matter if it wasnt sunny. On hot days the interior of a car can climb very high(over 150f+).It sounds like he may be having seizures from the extreme temps. You need to get him in water and pedialyte or clear gatorade quickly and then get him to the vet ASAP.Dont put any more heat on him including basking bulb today until after you get him to the vet.

so i did give him a nice long bath.... hes in his cage and is just hangin out, he starts twisting when i pick him up... his beard is still black. i turned off his lights he did drink water and ate some baby food, hes not eating any crickets. i did talk to a vet on the phone they said give him a bath. can it be that hes upset and just wants to be left alone, and just rest? like i said he only twists and turns when i hold him

thank you for any and all advice!!

Hello,

Did he twist his body in that manner BEFORE you left him in the car, or just afterwards?
He may have gotten a heat injury while in the car. The internal ambient temps get extremely hot.
As Vicky suggested, use diluted pedialyte or gatorade for several days to help him out with his electrolytes. Continue giving baths, daily & pushing the fluids for several days.
Let us know how he is doing.

Hello,

That is awesome she is doing much better now. She ate today as well?
Ok, so you placed the light at 14 inches? That is fine. You can place it 10-12 inches if you would like.
It is fine, short term, to turn the UVB off just to let her recover. Just give her a week or so without the Powersun then, turn it back on.
She has been drinking that much water? She was very thirsty & dehydrated so it will take her several days to catch back up on her fluids. You could add some pedialyte & or some gatorade diluted with water, to help her out with electrolytes.

Keep us posted on her.
