help, i think my tank set up may be wrong!!! :/

i have a 90 gallon tank.. its 2 feet deep.. my problem is.. i put my heat and uvb bulb on top of the screen.. is that to far away for my beardie?? please help. i want him yo be healthy as can be!!

What kind of UVB are you using?... Never use coil bulbs, and the best UVB tube is the reptisun 10.0. The uvb should be 6-8 inches away from the dragon and his basking spot. The basking spot should be no closer then 5-6 inches from the dragon. Just make sure temps are correct. It is best to have the uvb inside the tank and not have anything between the light and the dragon ie: mesh screen or glass.

what if the uvb bulb is 5 inches away.. is that to close..
well my mom bought the reptisun 10.0 bulb.. it wasnt long so i think it was a coil.. then it broke so my dad brought it back and they gave him a reptiglo :/.. my mom wont buy me another one soo ill have to use it..

Its fine if the UVB is 5 inches away but, I highly recommend that there is NOTHING between the bulb and the dragon. Anything that is between them will greatly reduce the amount of UVB that your dragon desperately needs. Since your using a repti-glo it is even more important that there is no barrier. The Repti-glo does not put out nearly enough UVB and there has been some health concerns with it as well, IE: Eye-irritation.
When you get extra cash invest in a Reptisun 10.0 tube available at petmountain.com, Your dragon will love you for it.
