LOL!
Well..... there is a story to that!
My husband and I took our two granddaughters to Disneyland last summer. At one point, I was carrying everyone's lanyards, packs, autograph books, and had several different straps slung over each shoulder, criss-cross style. As we were walking about, someone asked me to carry yet something else and, as we just happened to be walking past the Indiana Jones ride (and I rather looked like Indiana Jones with all of these straps criss-crossed across my chest), without thinking I responded "Who do you think I am, Indiana Freaking Jones?" (I was laughing at the time, joking around... just for context). The hubby and grandkids laughed hysterically at this, and it has become a bit of a family joke since last summer.
So.... As I was struggling to decide on a name in the weeks before Indy arrived, I looked at all kinds of names from dragon names to cute names to tough names..... just could not decide on a name! On the day that Indy finally arrived, I still didn't have a name for him. I noticed that he was exploring every little nook and cranny in his new vivarium (not even a little bit shy), and when my granddaughter said, "What's his name going to be?" I responded, "I don't know, but it has to be something adventurous because he has been exploring all over the place!" My granddaughter promptly said, I think he should be Indiana F. Jones .... and thus he is....
Indy for short....
