My petsmart bulbs are dying every month, im wondering if anyone recommends a good bulb that will provide lasting heat for a few months at a time.
Also does the type of light fixture influence the life time of a bulb?

You can use regular household bulbs and halogens for heat. Cheaper, last longer and you can pick them up with your groceries. One of mine just finally burned out after a year.

I just use regular household lightbulbs as well. As long as your temps are right its fine. If something is wrong with the wiring in your fixture it could definitely affect the life of the bulb.

Be very wary of the powersuns there was a rash of defective bulbs which caused eye damage.

I second,(or fifth) normal household bulbs.

Idk what you mean by clear, but it shouldn't give off colored light. Just normal ones you would use for your house.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
