Hi
I weighed and measured Bertie today, shes 21inches and weighs 516g/18.2ounces
Is this the right weight? I know she's put on weight since I got her and she doesn't look too podgey
Hi there, that's a reasonable weight for Bertie. She's on the lean side and some 21" dragons will weigh more but her being lean is better than too fat any day.
Hi
Thank you! I've bought some morio/super/king worms which are about 2inch long(I was going to chop them in half as I was scared they'd cause impactation but she chewed them quite a lot) which are full of protein so she will hopefully gain a bit more weight but not loads
Big dragons have no trouble with superworms, you already know that. Try to offer only about 7-8 at a time and if you can get other insects like silkworms, crickets + dubias that would be ideal. Make sure to offer greens such as turnip, mustard, collard, endive, dandelion and arugula [ rocket ] If she's not keen on greens, try some baby food squash on top....many dragons like the squash + will eat other foods that are coated with it.

I've fed her crickets but hate them so only buy them if my local petshops are out of waxworms/morio worms. I am planning on feeding her dubias as well. She loves veggies so that's all good, and her favourites are foods that can be fed daily so that's also good! Dandilion leaves(Found on every field near me  I make sure there away from fumes/cars etg and endive which is cheap) Do you know any other greens that can be fed daily? Thanks
Update: weighed her today she's 550g / 19.4ounces and 22" (grown a lot since I've gotten her also more energetic) I feel like she's now at a better weight. I was using King worms to fatten her up and am now starting my own dubia colony to use as a staple diet, My parents with a bit of persuasion let me.I have jelly pots, this insect mix that is specifically made to help breeding and this special water jelly. I bought it to breed crickets then I found out how terrifying they and and thought maybe not, plus I found cricket heads in her poo and thought maybe they were a bit hard to digest and I don't want her to get impacted.
