hand feeding

Hi guys.

My little beardy is just turning 8 weeks and iv had him for just under a week. I am feeding him via my hand (holding the crickets out to him) as this seems to be the way he prefers to take his food. He does catch a couple a day of his own back but 9 times outa 10 ill have to feed him.

Is this a bad habit I should try and get out of or as long as he/she is eating just carry on?

ive had my beardie for about 3 months and i was hand feeding her more times than not when i first got her, and still sometimes now, but she'll still eat from a dish too. Since you havent had him very long he could be picky because of relocating. I think once he gets more comfortable he'll be more excited about them!

Hand feeding is a good way to bond but they can get last if you do it too much
