Hello, sorry to hear about Boss. What did your vet mean by eggs not coming out ? This would mean that she's eggbound, which is a serious condition. Is she acting ill in any way ? Or does your vet mean that she has eggs yet to lay, and just waiiting for her to lay them ? How is her appetite ? If she is eating/ acting normally, then it just may be a wait until she lays them. Give her plenty to eat and drink. Make sure to have a nest box [ a large plastic tub filled abot 12" with moist sand/ potting soil with no chemicals or fertilizer, or eco earth] and put her in there if she begins digging around her tank. Try a very warm bath to see if she'll try to pass anything.

She is not really eating and seems wierd. She is only 10 months old and the vet said if the eggs are in there, i might have problems he said they might form together inside of her if they dont come out.

Is she housed with a male ? Because if she is 10 months old, she would not develop infertile eggs this early unless she had been bred [ which she def. shouldn't be !] So are you sure about her age ? Also, the vet said IF....she has eggs, so he doesn't know? I'm just trying to figure out if this vet has experience with reptiles, which it sounds like he may not. If he gave her deworming meds, that would likely be the reason she is not acting right, if she has parasites. Did he give you a pro-biotic, like Bene - bac or Acidopiliz+ ? This is needed when giving a reptile meds. like that to restore the good gut flora.I hope she gets better for you .

no she hasnt been with a male ever and i bought her as a baby in february. The vet said she has lumps on both sides of her abdominal cavity that are hard and he things eggs are developing. He is an experienced reptile vet he only does exotic animals.

I am sorry to hear that Boss is not well. Is she housed on sand? I'm wondering if the vet could be feeling an impaction rather than eggs? Just a thought...maybe way off. I hope she feels better soon.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
