Ya, I been dealing with Cheryl. She has been extremely helpful so far in answering all my questions. The dragon that I chose was Intense Red Orange Male 0 Audym x Vyllyn. Has a half inch tail nip, but thats ok. Beautiful coloring.

Received my bearded dragon about 10 a.m. This is my first beardie so I am nervous and he is extremely skittish. He looks to be in good shape. He ate about 10 crickets a half our ago. Won't even look at his veggies. He doesn't let me pick him up either. I know there is a lot of debate about this, but I have him on sand and I ain't going to feed him in the tank until he is old enough. So I had to take him out to feed him in a seperate tank. How many times should I mist him a day for him to drink? I don't want to put a water bowl in my tank have enough humidity in my house with 5 saltwater tanks. How long do they usually take for them to start eating there veggies? He is 4 months old. All suggestions will be appreciated.

He will start eating his veggies especially if he's from Cheryl.. He just needs time to adjust.. I would say within the week he will be eating them.

I mist my babies (~9 weeks old) very morning about 30 minutes or so after lights on usually on their basking spot. That way the water will evaporate quickly from the spot. I stopped misting my older dragon when he got to 7 or 8 months old.

my 9 month old is just starting to eat his veggies on a regular basis but all my dragons were from another breeder.

Awesome! Congratulations on your new baby!

He's only 4 months old, so it's ok for him not to look too interested in veggies. Cheryl does give her babies veggies, though, so I would just keep putting bowls of greens in there with him every day. Eventually, he'll eat them!

I would recommend taking him off the sand until he's bigger, but there is some debate about that. Generally, even those who keep their adults on sand agree that babies shouldn't be on sand. They taste things a lot. Of course, if you keep an eye on him I'm sure you'll catch anything going wrong.

I wouldn't worry about him being skittish right now since you just got him yesterday. I'm sure he's stressed out from shipping and being in a new place. I'd let him settle in for a week or two before you try to start holding him and getting him used to you.

Good luck with him! Pictures please!

Ya I know the sand thing is a debate. My buddy who has breeding beardies for over 10 years has always put his babies on sand starting at 8 weeks old and he has never lost a baby from impaction. Not saying it can't happen. I do keep a close eye on him to make sure he isn't getting impacted. My buddy told me as long as he poops everyday that i'll be fine. Didn't want his dragons though cuz they are just browns lol.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
