My awesome wife got me a new dragon the other day after getting tired of seeing an empty custom tank...(can see that in the viv pic thread) and he's tiny little guy (or girl...not sure yet) Only a few months old I'm guessing. His body is only about 2 1/2 inches long and from nose to tail almost 7 inches.
Now for a couple questions... While getting the lights my wife got a repti-glo 10.0 for me not knowing they werent all that great for beardies. I did return it to the store but no one around here has any repti-sun lights so I ordered one and should be here within 7 days. So in the meantime I have no UVB for my little buddy. I've thought about bringing him outside for a little bit for real sunlight but its gotten a bit chilly up here in upstae NY. (hovering around 65-75*)
1... is that to cold for him to go out side? Especially being so small and young. My concern above the temp is that he's still a bit stressed and still getting use to his new home. He's eating here and there but nowhere near the cricket killing machine he should be. He grabs some veggies here and there as well.
2... is going a week with no UVB going to hurt him and cause greater problems then a bit of stress?
3... are there other options for getting him the needed UVB he needs?
EDIT:: Also if anyone can tell what type of beardie he is? All I know is the pics make him seen lighter then he really is. His back is slightly darker and the spots are more white than tan. He's also got some light blue on his arms and legs.
Thanks everyone!
