Glass and sand

To start off, if you cant think of a soloution, dont worry!
so basically I have sand in my vivarium and it makes a terrible sound when I open the glass.
anything to cancel this sound out at all?

only way to cancel it would be to remove it, shop vac to the tracks every now and then when you need it. to avoid getting it in the track you can try using thin weatherstripping products that'll still let the glass slide but blocks the sand from entering.
