Getting a tank

Hey guys
Ok so I convinced my parents into letting me get a beardie. I am so fricken excited O_O
i'm gonna get a 40 gallon reptile tank but my question is, does it need a stand or can it just sit on the ground in my bedroom?

It doesn't necessarily need a stand, but I wouldn't recommend keeping it on the ground because the floor is much cooler and you might have trouble keeping the right temps. Don't want your new buddy cold !

It can sit on the floor if you want it to. All of my tanks sit on the floor (carpet). Keeping the right temps has never been trouble.

Make sure you get a 40g breeder, not a 40g tall or 40g fish tank.

Ah yes, carpet is a lot easier.. Forgot to ask; I have hardwood floors and they get so cold
