So I had to go do some digging through Bligg's thread after reading yours. This is what I found...
I guess Bliggy was a little ahead of the game, LOL. This is him at 3 months doing who knows what with poor Timmy.
Must run in the family.
Here he is at 4.5 months getting a taste of his first small supers. Yup! Do believe they were a big hit!
Puberty already? Yikes, I thought Rubio was early at almost 5 mo, once he started black bearding he never stopped. I even caught him cross-eyed trying to see how big his beard would blow up!
Gem sure knows how to relax. Here we are with sleeping beardies and your baby is wide awake and finding love objects! That is so funny. Don't you just love the black beard, his goes down his shoulders & tummy, too. Our boys all black beard down to their tummies. It's just hilarious to watch. Now he'll start bobbing & black bearding everything, including any reflections he can see. Security check time is moving in! He's not a baby anymore, don't they grow up quickly?
I just loved all the pics. I'll check out the videos at home.
Take care Michele, glad you're feeling better now!
Deb
I've followed this thread since it was made for all the nice pictures and progression your dragon has made. I also loved your setup, very sleek & clean. Nice work!
Great pics, Michele! He is getting so big but he still has that adorable baby face. I love the hammock pic. I wonder if Gem will play the "worm game" and fetch the wormies for you now  . Ps, sorry to hear about your mail box .

Thanks Sara I am definately going to try the worm game with him, thanks for reminding me 8) My mom is bringing over 50 superworms this weekend and I'll make those last until the reptile show on the 28th.
Luckily my mailbox and post are fixed. It's not pretty but it will work
Michele I totally just Lol'd about your "fixed" mailbox. A couple of weeks ago my mom was trying to get a package out of the mailbox and the entire thing came off the post. I'm not sure what made me think of that, but I felt the need to share!
Michele, that's great that you are getting a new tank and can use the same stand. I know you had some concerns about using the custom made tank that you have now and I also suspect that it wouldn't feel right to you to be using it for many reasons which I totally understand. The dimensions of the one you're going to get sound great. Just think, you'll be checking temps again :roll:if you need any help, let me know.
That sounds like a great salad and if he loves cilantro, he loves parsley too, they're in the same family. Giz will either a piece of either of those out of my fingers. That's great that you're getting some more small supers until the show, he sure had a gleam in his eye when grabbing for them.
Yes, Misty's eyes were droopy when she was about Gem's age, but not now, perhaps she is chunky enough so that it isn't noticeable anymore. :dontknow: But, the droopy eyes went away months ago.
So, that's why I sent Lucy the skunk, huh? That's something I didn't originally think about though. I should have taken a picture of Judas with the moose but I was in ! He actually bit it and dragged it across the carpet while making breeding motions. Dawn, that picture of Bligg with Timmy was a riot!
May I ask about Gem's eyes and why they are droopy? Not to be a barer of unwanted information but, this could be a bad sign, unless he is just tired in these photos. :?
Just to comment with everyone else, my Pyrex has droopy eye lids, not quite as prominent now as it was when he was a baby, but I was concerned, and asked Tracie about it,...........she said that it happens to some beardies, probably genetic, and not to worry.
What can I say about Gemi, other than he's such a handsome boy........just love the pics, and videos,...........they just love the superworms, don't they? Did you go to the expo this past week-end Michele.............did you come home with a new baby?
Cute little thing. Man can't believe it's been six years since Zeus was that tiny
take pictures. and not just digital. have them in a photo book and everything. They grow up so quick *sniff
I absolutely LOVE the puffy beard pics!!!!! :love5: :love5: :love5: :love5: its my absolute favorite when my girls do that :love5:
Holy Moly Black Beard!!!!!!!!!!!! Hansome lil devil!!
Yes Kat, it sure is a milestone that Gem is eating supers. I can't believe he is this big already
I love the puffy beards too Amy :love5:
Ricardo, I totally agree with you and I am taking TONS of pictures
Thanks Christine! I wasn't really worried about Gem's eyes but it is reassuring to hear that it's perfectly normal for them to droop a bit. They are a cute "tear drop" shape
The reptile expo isn't until the 28th,and NOOOO I am NOT bringing any live animals home
Oh Diane, you know much I love playing with the temps don't you?
Actually I came across a great deal today by making a phone call to an aquarium store my mom told me about. I can get a used 4x2x2 glass tank WITH a stand for only $100!!! It has a crack in the bottom but that's ok because I will just cover it with tiles anyways It is right near my mom's house so her and my sister are going to pick it up for me tomorrow and bring it to me Saturday I think only the tank will fit in her Rav4 but I can get the stand next week.
I'm sure that wasn't your intention when you sent Gem "Lucy" but I think that is whats gonna end up happening, since I know how much Judas loves his moose
Sara, thanks for sharing your funny mailbox story, now I am the one "LOL'ing"
