fowlcore smiling??

hi fowlcore started smiling when i held him and then when i held him he also started to wheeze when i touched his head to pet him he then ended when i stoped touching him. i have the pic when he is smiling.

Whats up you need help with? Maybe someone can help.

How long has he been wheezing.
Do you hear anything else...popping?....crackling?
Aren't you the one on another post who said he
provokes his beardie to bite so he can put veggies
in his mouth?
Are you sure it was wheezing and not hissing at you for petting his head?

Hey Dangit.
The 'smiling' is for thermo-regualtion, and more commonly called gaping. Beardies can't sweat, so they do this to cool themselves down. As for the wheezing, answering Amanda's questions from above will help others to answer.

Wheezing is not normal. What is the humidity in the cage? Could indicate a respiratory infection.

How is he doing now? Have you been misting him while he's in his tank? If so, that can raise the humidity too much causing an upper respiratory infection.

I know you were feeding large crickets, wonder if he could have one stuck. Can you see anything in his mouth?

he took a bath yesterday but he is not wheezing anmore i think hes fine today theres no wheezing though he did smile i dont have a picture since the camera wont work i will recharge the other camera so i can take a picture. i am trying to get a thermometer but petsmart ran out of the singles. i dont need THE DOUBLE PACK PETSMART EDIT i think it may be hissing but i dont know.

also im feeding him small crickets now . my mom said that he can eat adults but my dad said dont ARGUE with your mom so i had to get adults but on the bright side my sister said to my mom and dad that adults are bad for babys since they can be compacted. my sister has a beardeddragon i think she got it since her snake rose died.

That's good that you are feeding the small crickets now, I'm glad they listened to your sister. If you have a Walmart near you, they have the AcuRite brand digital thermometer with probe end. It will give you both the basking & cool side temp at the same time as well as humidity level and it only costs about $12.00. If you want me to post a picture of it, let me know.
