She did good this morning! I took her outside and she started black bearding again and I brought her back in and she just laid acting lethargic again, so I called that specialist vet and we went to see her today. Feeling a spark of hope again!!! Her exam was super thorough and she agreed the heart murmur is likely secondary from the anemia. She explained to me my options and why we need more testing and I agreed to let her take a small amount of blood so we will know Thursday about that. She was able to tube feed her and hydrate her and reassured me she took only the smallest amount of blood and she was excited to tell me she took the feeding great and even took in two doses! We got stuck in traffic so it was a long ride home and she pooed on me pretty good, she tried to get down but I couldn't let her at the time so is what it is...I'll take whatever she'll give me right now, glad to see her system taking in nourishment and working! She never did the gasping thing today and the vet said her lungs sound great!
Thank you all for the continued love and support, I'm so glad to have you guys that understand in such difficult times and that share the love for such amazing sweet companions! I'll let you know what we find out Thursday, send some healing energy and love our way and prayers, however it is you feel about all of that...we will take all of the positive energy we can get right now...she's a fighter and I'm hopeful once we know that it will be something we can fix :)

Hello,

That is so wonderful, I am glad that she is doing better now & you have gotten some food into
her now. How is she today? :D
So her breathing is doing much better as well? Definitely keep us posted on her, we are all thinking about you both.

Thank you all so much❤️
She gave me quite a scare this morning she was really cold and her tail was really white and stiff...I panicked and warmed her as fast as I could...she was black beard upon waking which she's never like that, she always wakes up great...even lately...I may have woken her up early, well..I did, I just had to check on her..so she was black beard most of the day...still refused food and no bowel movements today but I don't feel as afraid about that today since she was tube fed and pooed yesterday...she finished off the night looking quite content, black beard was gone and she's sleeping soundly...eagerly anticipating the phone call from the vet on the rest of her labs tomorrow...hoping it's great news for something easily treated. I can't begin to express my appreciation for you all, thank you???

All of her organs are functioning properly???. Her anemia is now down to 4% though which is really bad...we still don't know why, I'm bringing her back in the morning to be fed and hydrated and hoping to get a fecal to check for parasites...she said the tail thing sounded like a circulation problem which could be, I think she was bitten in the tail..she was in such rough shape when we got her and her tail has always been a little off but it's healed up nicely...the doc admitted she was pleasantly surprised by her labs and I don't have to give her the antibiotics because her white count is in the normal range now...she doesn't suspect a fungal infection looking at her labs either which gave me a HUGE sigh of relief!!! She said we still don't know, could be a reproductive disease, could be cancer, could be when she had jumped from the window sill maybe she broke a blood vessel (it was only like a 2 ft jump and she acted fine but I brought it up in case...ya never know with these guys)...we are not accepting cancer and we are forging on continuing to keep her supported until we can find the cause...her organs are all great, she's a fighter...I knew it but man was I scared, she just feels so listless, weak, and it's not like she can tell us what's wrong...thank you so much again for all of the support and I'll keep ya posted!

Thanks again for the support!!! She took her feeding, and hydration really well at the vet today and I asked her to give her iron so she got a shot I think of iron and can have another in a week and I set up a time Monday to bring her back for more feeding. She said it's called critical care and she tube feeds her so we don't have to worry about her aspirating which is great! I took her outside for some sun while hubby paid and it worked, she gave us a fecal sample before we even got out of the parking lot so that was great, I ran it back in so should know about that Monday when I take her back in. I went in to clean us up? and they seemed excited and encouraged by how quickly her system is working! She seems quite punky still but the vet said she will be using her resources, which are limited right now for digestion so it's to be expected. She's stable and her weight actually improved and that's done nothing but drop for the last two weeks so I'm pleased with that, the tube feedings are working! She seems stronger and we are ever so grateful!!!

Hello,

It sounds like she has really improved right now. I'm happy to hear she is taking the feedings so well. I'm glad that they gave her some iron, too. They are sure she hasn't developed any eggs, etc?
The critical care is very good & helps with nutrition & weight gain, also.
I hope she is sleeping well, since she has been ill she definitely needs her rest. :D
It is a very positive sign her body is processing everything so well & that she is active too. I am really hoping she has a complete recovery. Keep us posted on her!

She ate for me 2 days ago...I started with worms as she prefers them...one hornworm, one superworm, and then 3 large dubias!!! Yesterday she drank again...a lot, and I can see faint pink returning in her mouth when I watch her...she seems content and alert...not typical active yet but definitely on her way...she will bask again instead of trying to run to cool and shade...all around improving...thank you all again so very much! I'm taking her tomorrow for one more tube feeding, hydration, and iron shot just to be sure but I think we can manage on our own after that if she will keep eating and drinking...so very relieved and thankful I found a doc that could tube feed her, it made all of the difference having tools for her body to use to recover!! Her parasite test was negative as well so we still don't have answers but at least we know now all of her organ function is great! She's definitely our little treasure and we are so glad to see her feeling better and getting her chunky back...even her eyes look better, they were sunken at the tops and she looked so sad...feeling so grateful???

Thanks NBGwen???. I'm so glad we were persistent and she's such a little fighter??❤️?? I'm also going to ask the doc to listen to her heart while I'm there today to see if that's clearing up. I will try to add pics on the other boards, just haven't had time to figure it out yet...I tried uploading but seems I might have to get on the regular computer.

Hello,

That is wonderful she has improved so much now! Bless her. :D
At least she is eating pretty well now also. It sounds like she is feeling much better & is getting her energy back as well.
I'm happy she is basking instead of sitting on the cooler end all of the time.
One more tube feeding & iron shot should really give her a big boost which should be her last time to have to go through that. Since her fat pads are looking better her body is really recovering nicely!
