Dubia Roaches

Can a 13 inch beardie eat an adult dubia roach? I have nearly 100 dubia males and no females at the moment. I'm not sure if my beardie can eat such a large thing.

Insects should be no bigger than the space between their eyes. If they are larger than that you can cut then in half, sorta gross but I've had to do before.

Is it okay for me to hijack this? >_>

My dubia colony is actually running a bit low... and my (2 year, 2 foot) beardie has been refusing to eat anything but my dubias.

Now, he typically has a pretty darn good appetite, but he did just finish brumating about a month ago.
Since then he has little interest in "salad" options (peas, carrots, celery, colalrd greens, bok choy, green beans...). It just sits there as cricket lure. He may indulge me and eat a few bits here and there, but not much before clamping down.
Crickets *I* have to catch and wave in his face, or he'll just watch them running around in the tank judgementally.

Any expert opinions? >_> How long can he safely go without eating? <_<

I have been hand feeding him, which is probably(?) a bad habit, but watching food and feeders wither away unless it's a dubia is extraordinarily frustrating.

I've actually cut way down on feeding and skipped a day here and there and it just doesn't seem to phase him. He wants his roaches.

An adult can go for quite a while without eating if need be. I would only offer bugs every few days while offering a nice varied salad daily. The veges should be about 80% of his overall diet so I'd focus on that. As long as he's a good weight then you can withhold bugs to try and get him eating his salads regularly.

;) Thank you, I was assuming that was the best course, but was looking for validation and maybe some experience insight. So, thank you again!

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
