Help! I am caring for my son's dragon while he is away with the Marines and when I got home today his dragon had a bump on his back right behind its head and it wont eat or drink. He is barely moving. Any ideas?
I don't know how to post pics. I'm working on it. He did poop tonight but he won't move. I put water on him in case he was dehydrated. He hasn't eaten in two days. Petco ran out of crickets about a week ago so we switched to mealworks and he really seemed to like them. Was this a bad move? The temps are the same as always. Nothing else has changed except the crickets and that my son hasn't been home in a few weeks.
We will need a pic to help more, along with some information.
First, to post a pic, use an image hosting site like photo bucket, upload your pics to PB, then copy & paste the IMG code into your reply.
With your reply give us as much information as you possibly can. I know he's not your dragon, but the more you can tell us, the more we can help.
How many lights does he have? Are any of them long tubes or coil bulbs?
What kind of thermometer? (dial stick on or digital probe)
What are the temps? (basking & cool side)
What substrate is he on?
How old is he? How long has your son had him?
About how long is he?
What does he eat, how often and how much?
How long has your son been gone?
Has he been eating normal?
Do you use calcium or vitamin powder on his food?
Let us know if you can't figure out how to get the pic up.
